Spottedstar nodded, still holding his latest catch in his mouth, and muffled a strong purr. Amberpaw had done well and felt a bit of selfish pride at her success. Plus, the clan would be well-fed because of their combined efforts. It was nice to get away from camp with his apprentice instead of running off alone to escape responsibilities. He set down his bird to speak, a lopsided grin on his face. "The next test will be whether you can carry all of this back to camp!" He teased.

A ruckus of beating wings and waving branches interrupted the leader's praise, and his head whipped towards the source. A young eagle, looking to swoop down on the cats and scavenge their catch, was descending towards Spottedstar with talons outstretched. It struck him in the face, as he had noticed too late, and he hissed in surprise and pain. Batting at the bird with claws extended, he called out, "Careful Amberpaw! Don't let it get you with its talons!"

Eagle used Swoop, dealing 20 damage and using 20 stamina.

Spottedstar used Belly rake, dealing 20 damage and using 10 stamina.

Amberpaw smiled at her mentor's praise and closed her eyes in enjoyment, suddenly catching her mentor's words her eyes blinked open, shocked. But she quickly sprang into action and leaped onto the back of the large bird, raking it with her claws. "I can't hold it for too long!" She cried as the eagle attempted to throw her off

"You got it, Amberpaw, just don't let go yet!" He yowled over the racket of the young eagle's shrieks. It clearly did not appreciate being handled so roughly. It thrashed about, whipping its wings against the hard ground in protest of Amberpaw's weight against its back, but it was unable to dislodge itself from her grasp. Spottedstar reared back, crashing back down on the large bird with a flurry of slaps and scratches from his forepaws.

Amberpaw let herself get distracted by Spottedstar's move and the eagle easily flung her off. "Ow!" She allowed herself to get distracted and the eagle, now focused on her, flew up into the sky and quickly swiped at her with it's talons. It stung alot but she was now ready to fight again. Running up to the eagle, who was still flying low, she braced herself before hitting it with the strength of her body, seeing it drop to the ground. "It's almost defeated!" She chirped, happily. The eagle looked angry though. It was weak but managed to get itself in the air, looking to hit another cat.
