Scaredy Cats (closed)

Crouching down as to not disturb the top of the den, Sunflower shuffled himself into the apprentice den. Finding Honeypaw's pelt among the other bundles of sleeping fur, he made his way over to her as carefully as possible. "W-wake up," the lengthy tom whispered as he gently prodded the younger she-cat's side. With that, Sunflower exited the den and gave his short pelt a shake. Each day, the weather grew colder and cold, but hopefully the rising sun would help warm him up, or else he'd be shivering the entire patrol.

With a rather violent jolt, Honeypaw had been startled awake from her sleep at the voice and prodding. She gasped loudly and shot her head up, looking around as she tried to focus through dazed, teal eyes. It took her a little bit to register the shape of Sunflower leaving the apprentices' den, and she had come to the conclusion that he had woken her up.

With a soft, shaky sigh, licking the bushed fur along her spine to flatten it from her spook, she rose up to her paws and padded out of the den, shivering heavily at the chilly air outside the warm and cozy den. She made her way over to Sunflower's side and gave him a nervous, yet sincere smile. "R-Ready, Sunflower."

With Honeypaw having joined his side, the pair left camp and made their way into the lightly wooded forest. Today, the two of them would practice their hunting skills, and hopefully, he'd be able to teach her at least something, seeing as though he wasn't the strongest hunter, among being weak in many of things.

"T-today, we h-hunt," the meek voiced warrior mewed with a nod, keeping his gaze at the path ahead of them.

"Um, okay." Honeypaw looked up at Sunflower, suddenly feeling even more uncomfortable. She didn't know the first thing about hunting. Was she supposed to have known how to hunt before she had become an apprentice? Oh, stars, did she already mess up? She didn't know she was supposed to learn how to hunt before becoming an apprentice, no cat ever told her! She whimpered softly and stopped walking, staring down at her paws in shame, her voice barely coming out as a whisper. "I ... don't know how to hunt. I'm sorry...."

"I-I'll teach y-you," the tall warrior mewed softly was they made it to their destination, which wasn't anywhere in particular, but most likely near the center of SkyClan's territory.

Crouching down, he turned his amber gaze to his apprentice. "Crouch l-like this... k-keep your t-tail l-low," he chattered to the she-cat.
