Though some might have expected her to be in the medicine den, Mothpaw made a point of getting out of said den as often as possible. It was a reminder of her responsibilities and past mistakes, all the things she didn't like to think about when they weren't important. So whenever the den was empty, she made her way into the camp, or sometimes the territory in search of herbs. Today, though, it was a nice day with nice weather, and she was batting a ball of moss around outside her den. Close enough that a cat who needed her could find her, and just far enough that she didn't have to think about anyone needing her.

Some might say that she was, perhaps, a tad too old to be playing nursery games. That might be true - despite her apprentice name, she was a grown cat and had been for a while now. However, true as it may be, she didn't really care. She just wanted to have some fun.

Rowankit spotted a cat playing with a mossball? She looked too old to be a kit, but she wasn't really an expert on just how old kits could be, so that was easily put out of her mind. The red-furred kitten chose to trot over, instead, tail high in greeting and whiskers perked up with curiosity. "Why are you playing alone? Don't you have friends?"

The very concept of not having friends was entirely foreign to Mothpaw, who paused in her game at the kit's approach. "Of course I have friends! Doesn't everyone?" And then, after a moment's thought, she added, "Why are you by yourself? There are still other kits in the nursery to play with, right...?" She tried to recall the kit's name - memory was never her strong suit. Rockkit? No... Rootkit? Rabbitkit? "Rowankit? Are you lonely, or do you want to play? ...Or both?"

Please, StarClan, let that be the right name. What kind of medicine cat couldn't even tell her youngest Clanmates apart?

A dark red, sleek, semi fluffy kit with green eyes padded out of the nursery. Hollowkit took one look at the other kit and the medicine cat apprentice and huffed rolling his eyes, was there herbs to be sorted or something? Why was the medicine cat apprentice busy doing that or put gathering herbs instead of lazing about the camp playing kit games. The kit was rather young but his mother decided to teach him early the duties of the clan cats and that they must never laze about when there are things to be done, only then should they laze about the camp doing nothing. “Why is the medicine cat playing kit games instead of sorting or gathering herbs? My mother says that cats shouldn’t laze about when there are things to be done, and only then should they laze about doing nothing.” He meowed in an annoyed tone sitting down not far from the entrance to the nursery.
