This cat should be able to put up with Light long enough to be his Very Good Friend™, at which point they’ll have his trust and near-family status; as he deals with things later in life, he'll tend to lean on them first and foremost. It doesn't have to be a permanent thing (though Light would probably like it to be). Cats who've just returned from the shores are fine for this, but they won't meet Light until the cats at the Tribe return home
