The leader's daughter led the patrol as usual and she was happy about it. Since her performance during the swimming and tracking competitions, she had finally proven to be more than the kit of Jaystar. She was a Riverclan warrior, one of the best and now the clan could see that too. Even though she wasn't the strongest or the largest cat, the she-cat was still capable of making her way through all hardships and thanks to that, both Scorchclaw and his father trusted her more to be the leader of patrols.
With a rather happy mood, Hailsong stopped the patrol raising her slender tail. "Thanks to the ice starting to cover the river it will be harder to find fish but do your best. The clan needs more prey immediately and there's no time to be slacking off, understood?" She mewed locking her eyes on Berrycloud and Streampaw, who was rather close to becoming a warrior.
The large, golden tom nodded at the smaller cat's command and then smiled to the other apprentice, who once shared dens with him. "Let's do our best! If you're lucky, maybe Hailsong will tell Jaystar that you're ready to be a warrior." Berrycloud mewed to the apprentice, wincing at him charming as ever. Now that he had grown up, he felt freer to be the charming, confident and flirty tom he always had been. He was a young warrior and that meant he had the freedom to decide what he wanted with his life in the clan. Why couldn't he enjoy it by making friends and also complimenting some pretty she-cats in that way? Streampaw was tom too but that didn't mean they couldn't be friends. After all, clanmates had to stick together so the clan could work perfectly. "After all, Hailsong is his daughter. Try to take a good shot of this chance." He purred before making hs way to the shore to start searching for some fresh-kill.
