The Fight Is like a Drug {Closed}

The shore on RiverClan's side of the territory was eerily quiet. A slight frown creasing her features, Hailpaw swept her bright yellow gaze across the riverbank. The fluffy she-cat was well-aware of the fact that she was trespassing. She had deliberately crossed the river with such an intention. It had been easy enough, using the stepping stones she had discovered a while ago. Quite a few sunrises had passed since her last battle with a RiverClan apprentice. Now that her wounds had healed sufficiently, she had returned for more. So far, all her battles had been with RiverClan cats. She wanted to battle a cat from the other three clans soon. Preferably not a WindClanner, as they were ThunderClan's ally. Marshstorm and Leopardstar would be so pissed off if she threatened the peace between those two clans.

Where were the RiverClan cats when she needed them? She had even come all the way unto their territory for them. With a huff of annoyance, Hailpaw sat back on her haunches. Her claws itched to tear through flesh and fur. Some cat had better show up soon. The moment they did, they would be in for a nasty surprise.

Sleetpaw had been walking around the territory, looking for something interesting to do, or at least check out. That's when he noticed a figure sitting near the river. As he got closer, his nose scented the smell of Thunderclan. An intruder! The tom narrowed his eyes and hissed. This was not okay! He sprinted at his fastest speed and tackled the she-cat to the ground. He then leaped a few lengths away, teeth bared. "Get out of Riverclan territory!" he hissed.

The RiverClan apprentice announced his arrival rather violently. At the last moment, Hailpaw noticed movement at the corner of her vision. Whipping around, her yellow eyes widened at the sight of the rapidly approaching tom. The vicious snarl she forced out was abruptly cut off as the two cats tumbled to the ground. Sleetpaw's warning rang in her ears; it took her a second to process the meaning of her words. “You're really eager for a fight, huh?” She grunted, heaving herself to her paws. A vicious smirk spread across her maw. “I'll be glad to play with you.” He had caught her by surprise, but he would not be able to do so again. Her long, feathery tail swept a slow arc through the air. In the next instant, she shot forwards. The powerful hind legs inherent of ThunderClan cats propelled her through the air. Landing atop Sleetpaw, she pinned the tom to the ground.

Hailpaw used Leap and Hold, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina. Sleetpaw is pinned for one turn.

IC: Sleetpaw hissed when he was pinned down. He glared at the apprentice above him. He was not going to give up so easily.

Unflinching, Hailpaw met Sleetpaw's infuriated glare. By the time this battle would be over, she would probably have made yet another enemy. However, it was for moments such as these that she lived--the twisted amusement that came from messing with her opponents. The ThunderClan apprentice had never been concerned what others thought of her. She slashed at the helpless tom, her claws swiftly drawing blood.

Hailpaw continued to use Leap and Hold, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina. Sleetpaw is no longer pinned.

IC: Sleetpaw snarled and managed to wiggle out of the she-cat's grasp. He then pushed her down and raked her belly. The apprentice then backed away and prepared to attack once again.

At last, the RiverClan tom managed to slip free. Hailpaw let out a grunt as Sleetpaw successfully knocked her down. She lashed out with her hind legs, trying to fend him off. Nevertheless, his claws still reached her exposed underside. Her white pelt was further stained with crimson. The stocky she-cat winced, gritting her teeth against the pain. "I'll get you for that." She snarled, as she leaped to her paws.

A cautious distance now existed between the two apprentices. Hailpaw glowered at Sleetpaw. For a brief second, neither party moved, gazing each other down. Then she closed in before him. Lashing out with one paw, she caught him in the cheek. Her claws slashed dangerously close to his eye. Adrenaline ran in her blood, spurring her on in the moment.

Hailpaw used Front Paw Strike, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.
