Preserve the Peace Among the Gloom and the Stream (OPEN)

Scorchfang slipped through the reinforced barrier of brambles back into ShadowClan camp. He had just returned from his trip to RiverClan's camp to deliver the news of what Jaystar's apprentice Pantherpaw had done to his daughter Ravenpaw, and he was more than pleased that not only had the RiverClan apprentice been given a suitable punishment for his crime, but he and his ally were able to come to an agreement: a new rule made specifically for ShadowClan and RiverClan, a rule that must be followed by each and every cat if there were to be any hope for the survival of either Clan during these troubling and terrifying times.

The large dark tabby leaped up onto Jaggedrock and cleared his throat, then yowled as clearly as he could for his Clanmates to hear, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Jaggedrock for a Clan meeting!" Waiting for his Clanmates to gather around underneath the ceremonial rock, he began once they all made themselves known to him: "I have just returned from RiverClan's camp to deliver to Jaystar the news on Ravenpaw's blinding by his apprentice Pantherpaw. As I am not a believer of banishing or killing unless all other options have been exhausted, I had suggested an alternate punishment for this code-breaking apprentice, one that Jaystar agreed with. You will not be seeing much of him for the next moon, so rest assured that justice has been served.

"I have another announcement to make as well," he continued. "It is imperative that from here on out, no cat is to attack RiverClan. Fourtrees separates our Clans, so unless any ShadowClan or RiverClan cats cross through to deliberately trespass on another's territory, there should be no problems with following this vital rule. Jaystar has agreed to this rule, and none of his cats will attack us. If I hear word that any of you have broken this rule, there will be severe consequences. I cannot stress enough how important this alliance is to both Clans, especially during these trying times."

The white deputy quickly made his way to the Jaggedrock upon hearing Scorchfang's call. He'd just gotten back from a trip to Riverclan, so he assumed it would be something about that. Suddenly he hated that he was slightly shorter than everyone else, he couldn't see Scorchfang until he'd gotten to the Jaggedrock. Despite this, he shook his pelt and watched with interest in his cold blue eyes. Really, Scorchfang should've travelled there with a couple of warriors. In these times, he could be threatened, especially with only one life.

He was pleased that justice had been served to the young apprentice. Pantherpaw had gone over the line and clearly didn't understand the alliance between the clans. Thank Starclan he would understand now. Froststone nodded to Scorchfang, seeing this all as fair and reasonable. He would be on the lookout for any cat that might try and get revenge for Ravenpaw though. Apprentices could be a bit hot-headed at times.

Ravenpaw slipped toward the Jaggedrock, sitting near the edge of the group of cats. She listened with curiosity to her father. What had Pantherpaw's punishment been? She was happy about the strengthening of the RiverClan and ShadowClan alliance, but she wasn't sure it would stop Pantherpaw once his punishment was over. She had seen the gleeful, slightly crazed look in the tom's eyes, and even now she could still remember it from the moments before her sight was taken. That cat had enjoyed the fight, an absurd thought to her. She shuddered a bit, thinking for the first time about what would have happened had Wildstrike not come. "Yes, Scorchfang." Not like she would even go anywhere near Fourtrees anytime soon.

Ooc: boi is Frosty right about that. Almost all the other apprentices are like "PROTECT RAVENPAW AT ALL COSTS!!"

Morningpaw was sitting in front of the medicine cat den, ears twitching as she listened to what Scorchfang had to say. She smiled as she heard that the cat responsible for poor Ravenpaw's blindness was punished accordingly. That reminded her, she had to check up on the apprentice to make sure her injuries weren't hurting.

The young medicine cat had been studying and learning the herbs as best as she could. Some of them were harder to find now that the sun was blocked. Those she did find were valuable and were stocked up in her den. She had sorted them and made sure they were ready for immediate use using some rather interesting but useful preserving techniques.

Sparkpaw stood next to Ravenpaw to offer support. No way was she going to let anyone hurt her more, or Orchidpaw, or Poppypaw. "Don't you worry about him, he'll learn his lesson." She murmured. "We'll be right by your side to protect you anyway."

Ic: Ravenpaw sighed, moving closer to her friend. It was a bit awkward how many cats were paying attention to her after her accident, especially being the natural introvert she was. The black-and-silver she-cat slipped off to the edge of camp, where many fewer cats were, as soon as she knew Scorchfang was finished speaking.
