Nothing Can Keep Us Apart [CLOSED]

Days had passed and the life in the barn wasn't so bad. It wasn't like the life in the camp but it was good enough and the clans had been unable to find them. It was no hard to search for prey and the place was warm enough. Everything was settled so they could stay as long as they needed to be before the great battle.

However, before that, there was something that Beetlemask wanted to do. Today it was the day he would confess his feelings to Snowdrop, even if it was clearly obvious for most cats who saw them together. He treated her more kindly, lovingly and always stood by her side. They had been friends since kits and both of them shared the same goals and ideas. She was his half and it was time to open up to her.

The tom woke the she-cat while everyone was sleeping. It was night time, apparently. It was hard to tell with that red moon in the sky all day and night. "Psst, Snowdrop. Wake up...!" He purred with a low voice in her ear so he wouldn't scare her. The fluffy tom placed one paw on her back and nudged her gently.

The snow-white she-cat gave a sleepy chirp at the prodding, and her blue eyes slowly slid open. She looked up at Beetlemask, then smiled and rolled over in the hay, offering him a big enough spot where her warm body used to lay. "Mmm, sorry, did you want to lay down? I was just keeping it warm for you." Her eyes, dulled with sleep and half-drooped, shone with affectionate humor.

The tom was tempted by her offering but he denied the warm spot with a quick shake of his head. His blue eyes looked at the she-cat and he nuzzled her even more. "Thank you, my dear, but there's something else I want to show you. Come on!" He mewed, pushing her chin up with his head in a playful manner.

A bit more roused by the consistent nudging, Snowdrop stretched out her limbs and yawned widely before slowly climbing up to her four paws, trying to blink sleep out of her clear blue eyes. "Can't it wait until morning, you silly furball?" she purred affectionately. Giving her short white fur a quick shake to loosen any stray hay straws and dust from her pelt, she gracefully leaped out of her nest onto the cold wooden floor of the abandoned barn to stand next to him, nuzzling her muzzle against his shoulder with a deep loving purr. "Alright, show me what you're so excited for me to see so I can go back to sleep."
