A clean slate (closed training for starry)

The fact that Darkflower had an apprentice, so soon after becoming a warrior, made her a little queasy. She didn't want to disappoint Tinystar, let him think he'd made the wrong choice in picking her to mentor Slatepaw. The sun was jus peaking over the horizon, its rays bathing SkyClan camp in a pleasant golden light. Darkflower glanced over to the apprentice den, it was time to wake Slatepaw for her first training session.

Darkflower strode into the apprentice den, it wasn't long since she'd been sleeping in there herself. She reached out a paw and prodded at the grey lump that was her apprentice. "Slatepaw, get up. It is time to train." she hissed. Darkflower turned her back and strode out the exit "clean yourself up and have something to eat, can't have you all groggy and tired, while I'm trying to teach you how not to starve and die a painful death. Meet me by the camp exit once you're done." she added with a flick of her tail.

Slatepaw opened her sleepy eyes, the golden sunlight shining into them. She rubbed her eyes with her paw as she stretched and got up. ”Ugh...it’s so early I don’t want to do this already...”She groend to her self. Slatepaw stumbles around doing everything that what Darkflower asked of her. After a little she strolled towards the camp exit. The sky was full of fluffy white clouds, that made her feel happy and the grass was wet and dew like. Slatepaw tilted her head down to get a better look at the sparkling grass, a little drop of water from the grass dripped onto her nose, making her head shake. She looked up to see Darkflower waiting for her, Slatepaw quickly skipped along to Darkflower at the camp exit.

Darkflower watched as Slatepaw ran around, feeling an inkling of frustration that she had to wait around. Did Slatepaw not want to train, to see the territories, or to serve her clan? Every cat Darkflower had met, including herself, had been excited for their first training session. Still, it do be that way sometimes.

Smiling gently, when Slatepaw appeared next to her, looking a lot more ready than before. "You look a lot more prepared now, Slatepaw." she mewed 'I'm going to teach you how to hunt today, so you don't starve. Now follow me" Darkflower rose to her paws, flicking her tail for Slatepaw to follow her.

Darkflowers words give chills down Slatepaws boney spine.  Darkflowers words were harsh and not sugar coated, nothing like Slatepaw had herd before. Slatepaw gave a reissuing nod, as she started to follow Darkflower. Darkflowers words replayed in her mind over and over again. Slatepaw contemplated if she was not being worthy of such a great friend. She shook her head and continued to follow behind Darkflower, hanging her worthless head low.
