Littlepaw's Moonstone Journey

Fallowpaw padded quickly to a group of apprentices gathered together in the middle of camp, scanning over the small assembly of cats likely gathered to share tongues, or something of the like. When her eyes finally fell to Littlepaw's familiar pelt, she dropped the herbs she'd been carried in front of her. "Go ahead and eat them, and we'll set out whenever you're ready." She mewed, already having eaten hers before she'd even left the cover of her den. As always, she was plenty aware of the fact that Shade was out, and even more so because Brindlestar had forbidden RiverClan from using WindClan's territory to get to Highstones. They'd be traveling nearly twice the distance because of this, which was going to be awful for both the apprentice and herself.

Littlepaw had been sitting outside quietly for a moment when she seen Fallowpaw pad over to her dropping the herbs quietly in from of her. Knowing these were for her she bent down and ate the herbs quietly her face twisting slightly at the taste."Ok I'm ready to go now if your ready"Littlepaw mewed.

Twisting her body to face the exit of camp, Fallowpaw flicked her tail gently to signal that the two were to now begin. "Let's get going, then." The small she-cat let her paws lead her out of camp, quickly and expertly crossing the shallow stream surrounding the base. She shook out her long fur afterward, sending any clinging debris flying. Then, she set off towards the River, occasionally glancing back whenever Littlepaw got quiet to make sure she was still on her heels as the two of them made off towards Highstones.

Littlepaw feel silent as she fell in to follow after Fallowpaw silently. Her excitement obvious but she was quiet as she followed.

The Highstones were right up ahead. From a distance, Scorchclaw could just make out their silhouette against the sky. The RiverClan deputy had clearly been there from the very beginning of the journey. If reality seemed otherwise, it was obviously the work of an overactive imagination. Once again, it had been a fairly quiet trip. Littlepaw didn't say much, and Scorchclaw didn't bother to start a conversation. Every now and then, he would point out familiar landmarks to the apprentice, but that was about it. Before too long, the gaping entrance of Mothermouth was before them. "Stay close." He warned Littlepaw in a serious tone, "The tunnels are narrow, and you won't be able to see anything at all. Follow my scent and don't fall too far behind. When we reach the Moonstone, go ahead and touch your nose to it. You'll be taken straight to StarClan's territory. I will wait for you to wake up." The customary instructions given, the large tabby stepped into the tunnel. After he was certain that Littlepaw had followed him in, he began to plod ahead.

The darkness was almost stifling. Once or twice, Scorchclaw's whiskers brushed against the rock wall. When the tunnel began to open up, he almost breathed a sigh of relief. He had seen the Moonstone before, but its beauty still shook him every time. It towered over him, easily the height of several cats. Moonlight cascaded through the breach in the ceiling, reflecting off the Moonstone to illuminate the entire cavern. Glancing at Littlepaw, he nodded towards the Moonstone to remind her of what she needed to do.

OOC: For convenience's sake, this journey took place before Brindlestar forbid RC cats from crossing WC territory on Moonstone trips. Thus, before the gathering.

Littlepaw nodded listening quietly for a moment as the deputy spoke. She smiled some and looked around before she stayed close following him through the tunnel before it opened up to the glistening moonstone. At first she was scared but slowly she moved forward and got comfortable as she placed her nose on the moonstone.

Up above the starlit plains where Littlepaw found herself laying in, where the stars brightly shone, a number of them began to twinkle brighter and brighter, subtly shifting in the night sky. Then, they began to swirl and descend down to the ground, where they slowly took shape of a cat. The faded outline of a light brown she-cat, the scents of all four seasons in her short fur and a twinkle of love and compassion in her amber eyes, took form, and she smiled gently at the apprentice as she approached her.

"Welcome to StarClan, Littlepaw," the she-cat purred. "My name is Sweet, but you may also call me Sweetheart if you wish. Tell me, innocent one, is there anything you wish to know?"

Littlepaw blinked as she woke up in Starclan and watches a starry cat appear before her before asking her what she wanted to know. She blinked quietly for a momemt"hi..Sweet um...no..not off the top of my head but I would really like some guidance or advise"she mewed.
