Jaypaw's Warrior Ceremony

Tinystar made his way onto the Tallbranch with a slight limp to his step, and called out to the clan, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallbranch for a clan meeting!"

With a bright, half-improvised smile adourning her face, Jaypaw padded beneath the Tallrock to see Tinystar on top. Her grin faltered only for a second- how dare this sad excuse for a cat summon her to be in his presence? It was something she easily shook off- it will be dealt with soon, she reminded herself with a smile. She presented herself below the tiny Leader, chest fur puffed out slightly.

"We gather here today to give one of our apprentices their Warrior name and rank," he began, looking out upon the gathering clan bellow, a smile on his muzzle. "Jaypaw has proven herself worthy to climb the ranks of SkyClan and receive her Warrior name," Tinystar spoke and then paused for another brief moment before continuing.

"Jaypaw, please step forward."

Once the apprentice stepped forward, the short tom continued. "I, Tinystar, leader of SkyClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Jaypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." Jaypaw's call rang clear throughout the camp, and the words weren't untrue. She stood tall as Tinystar spoke the ceremonial words- a slight yearning inside of her. 'Why this blithering excuse?' Lichenpaw's words echoed through her head constantly- Was this cat she'd formerly looked up to really so guilty? He had to be, if Lichenpaw had said it. He had insight from StarClan themselves, no?

Once the apprentice replied, he went on with the ceremony. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Jaypaw, from this day forward you shall be known as Jaysong. SkyClan honors your courage and determination. Congratulations," he finished. With that, Tinystar leaped down from Tallbranch, and making his way over to the newly named warrior, offered a soft bump of his muzzle to the tom in a quiet form of congratulations as the rest of the clan flocked forwards as well.
