//"Savages" begins to play in the background

Trotting through the territory, Tinystar and his patrol of seven warriors and apprentice were headed into battle. Today, they would finish what should've been dealt with many moons ago; the dogs. For the past few moons, dogs had been terrorizing his clan and the small leader was going to have no more of this. No more sudden and cruel deaths, no more fear of the threat that loomed over their heads, this ended today. Whether that meant putting a permanent end to the ruthless canines or not, he didn't know, but he was confident in the damage that the patrol could at least conflict in order to at least teach them a lesson.

Reaching the edge of the tree line, the short leader came to a halt and put his tail up to signal the patrol to stop as well. In front of them was a small meadow past the forest but before the river, and sure enough, just like his scouts had reported, two dogs were romping around near the water's edge, splashing around every so often. Both dogs barked every so often as they played around the territory border and for a moment, he wondered if their Twolegs were nearby, seeing as though the Twolegplace was just past the river, but after a few moments, he concluded that there weren't any around, which meant they could go ahead with the plan.

Turning around, Tinystar faced the patrol that was waiting patiently for his signal. "Today, we avenge our fallen clanmates and leaders," he began, his voice barely above a whisper as to not alert the dogs. "Nightstorm, Darkpaw, Lilypaw, and I will deal with the brown dog. Mistyrain, Mosstail, Jaypaw, and Pigeonpaw will handle the black dog. I know it may be tempting, but we don't need to kill them," he warned, not wanting any-cat too carried away while fighting. "Be safe, watch eachother's backs, and show them that messing with SkyClan was a bad idea," Tinystar finished. In any other case, he wouldn't have been so... direct, about the violence that needed to be ensued or even want violence, but when it came to something or someone severely endangering the lives of his clanmates, he wouldn't hesitate to do what had to be done.

After his little speech, the small white and grey tom turned back towards the opening in the trees. Claws extended and fur fluffed up, he let out the strongest yowl he could muster in order to get the dog's attention. "For SkyClan!" With that, the stubby leader shot out the trees and towards the dogs. 'Keep us safe, StarClan,' he silently prayed to himself as he raced towards possible death. He may be small, but he would do anything for the good of his clan.

Lilypaw looked up, her clear-blue eyes narrowed. She was far from a good fighter, but she knew what needed to be done. The black-and-white apprentice shook herself, glancing at Darkpaw nervously. She had to do this. For Rippedstar, for Poplarstar. For Skyclan.
The young she-cat clenched her jaw, nodding to Littlestar as he spoke. If Sedgestrike had taught her anything, it was how to push past emotions and focus on the goal. For Skyclan. For Skyclan. For Skyclan. The clan of her kin, pure Skyclan blood passed down from her father's parents and beyond. This clan shared her blood, her bone, and her spirit. She would fight to protect them: That was her goal.
Without another thought, the young she-cat rushed after Littlestar, her long legs carrying her through the grass with relative ease. The thump of her paws on the ground matched the beating of her heart. She and her clanmates were running together, marching to the rhythm of the chant that ran through their lifeblood. Skyclan, Skyclan, Skyclan.

Mosstail trotted after her leader, her eyes narrowed into slits as she stalked behind him, her breathing sharp and rigid. She couldn't help but be tense; not only was she facing her father's murderers, but her siblings were here too. Dogs were vicious and unpredictable creatures; you had no idea what they were planning to do next. And the thought of two apprentices trying to fight them? The black and white she-cat shuddered, trying to force the thoughts back. No, nothing bad would happen to them. Not as long as she was here, fighting by their side. Starclan, she'd kill those wretched mutts if they so much laid a paw on either Darkpaw or Lilypaw. She had already lost her father, she wasn't about to lose her siblings either. Anger caused her pelt to radiate with heat as she watched the two canines, romping around in the water and having the time of their lives. It wasn't fair that they got this. They stole her father from her., alongside a happy kithood. He never got to see them be apprenticed, or become a warrior. Starclan, he didn't even get the chance to tell them that he truly loved them. Her promise to Cherrymist in mind, she bolted forward as Tinystar launched himself into the fight, racing at the dogs with claws unsheathed. This was it. They would avenge their fallen leaders, or die trying. For Skyclan, for Skyclan, for Skyclan.

"For Rippedstar!"

Darkpaw had practically begged to go on this patrol. She had to go on this patrol. She had to avenge her father. The apprentice had waited moons to do this and now here she was, beside her clan and family. Darkpaw caught Lilypaw's glance and nodded, smiled softly, then turned her head to look at Mosstail. They'd drive them dogs away, once and for all. Darkpaw turned her gaze back to Tinystar, listening to his words.

With a nod, she departed from the other group, flicking her tail in good luck to Mosstail. Darkpaw's blue eyes turned to look at the dogs, a shiver ran down her spine. What chance did she stand against them, just an apprentice against the dogs that had murdered so many leaders in so little time. If they could kill a leader nine times, she'd just be like a twig. Darkpaw shook her head, it was better not to doubt herself or her clan members, they could do this.

The white faced she-cat charged into battle beside her sister and leader. "For my father and all of SkyClan!" she yowled.

Mistyrain stood her ground as Tinylegs spoke. As afraid as she was of the large, powerful creatures, she was ready to fight them to protect her Clan. She wanted no other cat to suffer the same fate as Rippedstar and Poplarstar, so she planted her paws firmly and stood as tall as she could, eyes narrowed and glaring in the direction of the dogs.

Suddenly, Tinystar let loose a fierce yowl, and the dogs knew they were there. The deputy sprang into action, immediately beginning a wild dash towards the dog she had been assigned. She dared not look over her shoulder, but she could feel the beating of her Clanmates' paws on the ground, the hard rhythm that was the sound of war. StarClan, be with us, she prayed silently.

Jaypaw, no matter how mean she might be, had a soft spot for both Poplarstar and Rippedstar, even if she had never known the latter. Their lives had been taken so early in their leadership, before their time as Leaders of SkyClan and as Warriors. Although she was only an apprentice, the she-cat had a great sense of Clan pride. Against other Clans, rogues, even dogs- seeing her Clan beat hurt her ego, badly. Dogs were creatures to be feared, animals that could take out a cat- especially one with such little experience- with a single claw. Frankly, they scared the daylights right out of Jaypaw. But it wasn't something that she was about to back down from. She wasn't chosen to go on this battle for nothing.

Listening intently to Tinystar's words, she settled her eyes on her target. Tinystar's instructions were heard, but just barely beyond the sound of her own brain, screaming at her to leap towards them right at that moment. She knew better than that; she'd wait for the short leader's say-so. As soon as the call rang from out from the underbrush, Jaypaw burst from her position beside the deputy. She didn't bother with a war call of her own, as Tinystar and several others seemed to have that covered. 'We've got to make them pay...'

Having been chasing rabbits and failing to follow them into their small holes, the sudden sound of yowls and hissing made the large, brown dog's head shoot up. Looking down the meadow with his fat tongue lolling out the side of his mouth, a heard of cats was racing towards him and his comrade. After being released by their Twoleg to run around, they hadn't been able to find much, which was odd, but this was just the snack they'd been looking and hoping for.

Barking with excitement, the massive beast raced towards the cats, its large paws thumping against the ground.

Racing towards the dogs, Tinystar watched as their beady eyes turned so that they were facing the little brigade. And sure enough, like all dogs did, they charged towards him and his clanmates, most likely looking for something to eat. Well, it was now or never. There was no turning back now, and he knew he had to put all he had into this fight. For his clan.

Both parties reaching each other at the same time, the small white and grey tom let out a yowl as he lunged at the larger, brown dog, claws extended and fur on end. Closer to the dog, he pushed his weight down so that he slid under the barking monster. On his back, he quickly slashed at its soft underbelly before twisting his long body and jumping out of reach as the dog howled in pain. So far so good, but he knew that this would still be a tough fight, even if the dogs were outnumbered.

Tinystar used Belly Rake, causing 20 damage, and costing 10 stamina.

Lilypaw's ears twitched as the dogs barreled towards them, her black-and-white face scrunched in an expression of extreme concentration. Her long legs carried her swiftly to the front of the group, and soon the young apprentice was side-by-side with Tinystar. She shot the tom a quick glance, the snow-white fur on her hackles raising to match his.
He was so small. The tip of his ears hardly made it to the base of hers, his short legs reaching only midway to her haunches. So small, yet so powerful. The way he carried himself was astonishing, his head always high, his hopes even higher. The way a cat carried themselves had never seemed important to Lilypaw, yet somehow just Tinystar's posture changed him from a small, stubby-legged tom to a proud Skyclan leader. Lilypaw couldn't help but hold herself higher.
Tinystar was nothing like Sedgestrike. He wasn't strong, he was fierce but in a different way, calculating and clever. Sedgestrike burned hot, a spark under the vast night sky. Tinystar was the ice that coated pine needles, sheltering them from the cold. Sedgestrike was the lightning, but Tinystar was the storm.
It was at that moment that Lilypaw realized that she could never, never be like Sedgestrike. They were as different as moon and sun- ice and fire. No, she couldn't charge headfirst into battle, claws sharp, fangs bared. Not if she wanted to live, truly live. No, she had to think, rise above her disadvantages using her mind. That was her advantage. She wasn't weak. She was strong in a different way. Like Tinystar. Like Rippedstar.

So that's what she did. The small, snow-white she-cat tore her eyes away from the large brown dogs and turned her clear, sky-blue eyes towards her immediate surroundings. She knew that her siblings at least would try to face the dog head on; she had to find a different route. The hound was expecting a straightforward attack. Perhaps, if she confused it, Lilypaw could give her clanmates an advantage.
The young apprentice's eyes landed on a stone nearby, between the dog and her clanmates. Perfect. The apprentice slowed down slightly, turning to make a beeline towards the rock. Giving a final heave with her long legs, Lilypaw threw herself on top of the rock, turning at the last moment to leap off of the smooth stone and directly at the dog's shoulder. The small apprentice turned and sunk her sharp fangs into the hound's shoulder, using her claws to tear at it's back.

Lilypaw used Run-And-Tackle, dealing 6(+3) damage and using 10 SP

Large paws thumped the ground as a large Pitbull ran close to his brown-and-white furred friend. He howled as he chased alongside the fields, hearing a sudden hissing in the distance. The dog turned his head, ears perked and he observed the sound and scent before running off with his friend.

As his chops began to show, the excited canine began to race towards the new scent. Animated and terrifying, the best jumped out towards the patrol, teeth bared and growl low as the male noticed his friend getting attacked.

OOC: I won't let the doggo start the fight so one of you kiddos can attack the child

Mosstail sprang at the beast, her claws unsheathed and her eyes blazing with hidden fury. She tried to force the memories of her father's cold, mangled body sprawled across the ground back, but they always resurfaced no matter how hard she tried. This only filled her with a new sense of vigor. "You won't hurt any more of my clanmates any longer!" She snarled, not thinking and going straight for the dog's face. She raked her claws across its snout, aiming to cause as much damage as possible.

Mosstail used Rear-up to Slash, dealing 9 damage and costing 15 stamina.

Fear suddenly grabbed at Darkpaw, the reality of the situation dawning upon her. She could die. Her clanmates could die. Her family could die. Everything seemed to slow as it dawned on her. Her blue eyes watching as the beasts charged at her, their tongues lolling and teeth gnashing. She watched as her siblings fought and then suddenly everything sped up and she was beside them. The black furred she-cat had to stop them before they could hurt anyone.

Darkpaw rushed ahead and darted straight towards the dog. Her heart pounded as it drew nearer. She had to time this perfectly. Just before she barrelled into the dog, she rolled to the side and lunged at its tail. Her fangs sunk into it is soft flesh and she felt bone beneath her teeth. With a hiss she pulled down, attempting to knock the dog off balance.

Darkpaw used Tail Yank on Dog 1 costing 10 stamina and dealing 2 damage

Mistyrain charged towards her assigned dog, a big, ugly, brown creature. Its jaws were huge, big enough to pick her up in one go. She silently vowed not to let that happen. She had to protect her Clan, no matter what the cost. If it meant SkyClan was safe, she would be willing to die, though the thought still scared her.

Sliding underneath of the huge beast as she reached it, she raked her unsheathed claws across its soft underbelly, then quickly scrambled away. The dog barked and snarled, and Mistyrain hissed in response. This was what it got for messing with SkyClan.

Mistyrain used Half-Turn Belly Rake on Dog 2, dealing 16 damage and costing 20 stamina.

A deep, continuous snarl had erupted from Jaypaw's throat as she lunged towards the blithering, snarling idiot of a creature she was assigned. Her paws were outstretched with a tremendous pointer towards her pure SkyClan origins. Her strong back legs gave her enough strength to push off from quite a good distance. She was soaring towards the foul creature, claws unsheathed and glimmering in the bright light of the sun beating down on them.

As if she was suddenly pulled from a peaceful, quiet world, Jaypaw blinked and suddenly, it was chaos. She was practically on top of the dog, tearing at the brown fur coating its back and side.

Jaypaw used Run-and-Tackle, dealing -6 damage (-3), dealing -9 collectively and using -10 Stamina Points.

Yowling at the pain that struck his underside, the bulky dog wiped around to face an oddly small cat, though he didn't mind the size, 'cause food was food. Being attacked by two more cats, he wasn't quick enough to strike back at the first one, and snapping his jaws at the apprentice, he missed. His glance darting around, he was caught completely off guard as a sharp pain shot up his spine. Somehow, another one of the cats managed to grab hold of his scrawny, twig-like tail, and the scent of blood overwhelmed the canine. Let out barks of anger, he twisted his body around in attempt to grab the cat, but it was too jumpy for his bulky size.

Dog 1 is no longer stunned.

Having a brief moment to glance around, the comradery going on between his clanmates made the little tom happy. Fighting side by side, claws out, and spirits high, Tinystar knew that this battle wouldn't be in vain. But, just when he thought that, the dog caught him off guard, and unable to move out of the way quickly enough, strong jaws clamped down onto his tail. Letting out a yowl, Tinystar felt himself start to be dragged backwards, but being easily distracted, the dog let go, his focus moving onto another cat.

Leaping out of grasp of the dog's jowls, the small white tom jumped at the scatterbrained beast with outstretched claws. He wasn't able to push the dog over, but on his was down, he ripped his claws through the tough, thick flesh of the dog, leaving it to stumble backwards, howling in pain.

Tinystar used Jumping Strike, causing 16 damage, and costing 20 stamina.

Lilypaw snarled, bouncing back as Tinystar ducked and weaved expertly around the dog's lightning-fast jaws. She licked her lips, watching as the dog twisted and turned, trying to land a blow on either their leader or her sister. Next step, next step... She had to keep confusing him, act spontaneously and do the first thing that came to find. She just had to be quick enough to get out of the dog's way when it turned to bite her.
With that in mind, Lilypaw did the first thing she thought to do. It was a trick Sedgestrike had taught her. With a loud, distracting hiss, the long-legged white she-cat threw herself at the dog, ducking at the last moment and turning to rake her sharp claws along his belly. She misjudged the distance of her jump, however, and sent herself rolling down the hill toward Skyclan camp.
The apprentice shook herself and leapt to her feet in time to see a dog rear up, howling with rage.
They couldn't do this alone.

Mintwhisker looked up in time to see a little white blur barrel into her den, her clear blue eyes wild and her flanks lathered with sweat. "Mintwhisker! Come quick!"
The Medicine Cat wasted no time. Grabbing every herb she could see nearby, she ran after the lithe apprentice and out of camp. The she-cat's legs were longer than Mintwhisker's, but the little Medicine Cat could feel adrenaline beginning to pump through her veins. With a burst of energy, the taupe tabby raced past Lilypaw and skidded to a stop in the bushes nearby. Dogs.
She waited with bated breath, watching the battle. Lilypaw hid by her side, her eyes trained on Tinystar and the dogs. While Mintwhisker felt fear make her paws tremble, the Warrior Apprentice's expression was one of sheer determination.
This was why Mintwhisker wasn't a warrior.
