Steep Fall, Sudden Stop [Closed; Training Topic]

Just beyond the gorge, Minnowslip stood waiting for her apprentice amongst the reeds. She's left Coldpaw a clear scent trail to follow, brushing her pelt against the earth, every few leaps, but whether she managed or not was what left her antsy. She desperately wanted to check on the apprentice, a part of her regretting setting up such a test so early on, yet she also recognised that Coldpaw had to be given chances to learn independently.

A treacherous part of her brain questioned, what if Coldpaw was in a scrap with a predator? But she forcefully shut that down, telling herself to wait. Coldpaw would come, she was a smart cookie. She would be fine...

Right?

Coldpaw had just left camp, expecting her mentor to be there waiting for her, but no. She sighed and looked around, just as she was ready to get back to camp she caught the scent of Minnowslip.
She looked around again and started following the scent. As she followed the scent it hit her that it was probably some kind of test, she quickend her pace.

After a while she finally saw her mentor and runned over to her "That was fun!" she exclaimed and smiled at her mentor. "So what are we doing today? The scent thing isn't the only thing will be doing? Right?.." she asked.
