It was a rogue, I swear!

Lavenderpaw walked into the den, her scratches stinging. "Mapleleaf? Rainpaw?" she called out.

Rainpaw twisted himself around to look at Lavenderpaw, spotting the scars. He grabbed a few dock leaves, flicking his tail toward one of the clean nests.

"What happened? Training session gone awry?"

He asked as he used his claws to break the leaves before chewing them and starting to place it over the scratches.

Lavenderpaw shook her head. "I was out relaxing near the RiverClan border, to listen to the sounds of the river. Then this rogue came looking for a fight. He was pretty young, and I drove him off still. He landed a few hits though." she explained.

Mapleleaf entered the den with neatly tied packs of herbs to restock her storage. The medicine cat noticed Rainpaw treating Lavenderpaw's scratch wounds. The sand-tabby had caught the last bits of their conversations. The she-cat began to observe her apprentice as he worked. The she-cat nodded to herself as he used the correct herbs. She placed down the bundles and walked over to the pair. "Well done Rainpaw! Thank you for helping Lavenderpaw with her scratches. she praised. The medicine cat then turned to address the injured apprentice, "I hope you feel better dear. Also, please be careful next time when taking on a rogue. You were very lucky with this encounter. Not all could end with you getting a few scratches and maybe some scars."
