They Popped Out of the Snow! Like Daisies!

Snowpaw padded up to the wide Thunderpath, blinking curiously. Newttongue had introduced her to this strange black stone once before, but she never actually got a good look at it.

She looked up as a scent suddenly caught her attention, and her eyes widened as she spotted a clump of light gray mushrooms growing in the dampness of ShadowClan territory. She had eaten a mushroom once before, and it tasted so earthy and delicious! She leaped up onto the Thunderpath and quickly trotted over to the other side to begin uprooting the fungi, thinking that she wouldn't be breaking the warrior code by just taking some mushrooms instead of prey -- though to her, they were prey.

Having been on a border patrol, the sight of a ThunderClan cat on his side of the border set off an immediate red flag. Whether they knew it or not, they were trespassing, and Daisypaw would make sure they learned to stay on their own side of the Thunderpath.

"Hey! What are you doing over here you mousebrain?" the apprentice yowled as he made his way over to the strange she-cat with his claws out and teeth bared. Was she eating mushrooms? What cat ate mushrooms?!

Snowpaw's eyes widened and she shot up to look at the ShadowClan tom, a mushroom dangling out of her mouth. She gulped and placed it back down gently. "I-I'm not stealing any prey! I just wanted some of your delicious mushrooms. ThunderClan territory barely has any, and I don't think any medicine cats use them for medicine, so I figured it'd be perfectly okay."

Appalled at her so called excuse, Daisypaw bared his teeth, anger beginning to boil through his veins. "I'm not stupid, so don't give me such a lame excuse!" he yowled, fur bristling and claws unsheathed. With that, the apprentice lunged at the ThunderClan cat, and struck Snowpaw's side with a white paw full of sharp claws.

Daisypaw used Front Paw Strike, causing 7 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Snowpaw squealed at the pain, stumbling back from the force of the blow. She growled lowly before pouncing on Daisypaw, pinning him down, digging her claws into his shoulders to keep her grip. ”It may seem impossible to most, but I don’t eat prey! You really need to learn to control your temper!”

Snowpaw used Leap-and-Hold on Daisypaw, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Letting out a yowl as sharp claws dug into his shoulder, Daisypaw locked eyes with Snowpaw. "Well this wouldn't have started if you hadn't crossed the border!" he hissed through clenched teeth.

Snowpaw hissed with anger, but it was directed more towards herself than at her opponent. She knew it was against the warrior code to trespass into another Clan's territory, regardless if it was for hunting. Just don't let Beetlepaw find out about this, otherwise he'll probably hate me forever... Nevertheless, she couldn't give up the fight just yet. She continued scoring her hind claws down Daisypaw's back.

Letting out a yowl of pain as Daisypaw was continued to be held down, his mind raced on what he could do. It couldn't end like this, it just couldn't!

Letting out a yowl as she scratched his back one more time, Daisypaw was free from his opponents grasp. Jumping back, he regained his bearings and rushing forward, slipped under Snowpaw's belly to slash at soft underbelly with his hind legs before jumping back up again.

Snowpaw squealed in pain, but managed to regain her footing again. Panting in pain, she lashed out one last swipe at Daisypaw’s face, knocking him down. ”Th-There... I won...” she panted, breathless and in agony. ”However... I won’t take your mushrooms. You were right, I shouldn’t have trespassed, so now I will leave peacefully. You’re welcome.” Wincing, she raced back over the Thunderpath and back into ThunderClan territory.

Underestimating his fighting abilities, Daisypaw was struck down for a last time. Huffing and puffing with blood dripping down his face, the apprentice heaved himself up. "I-It was a good fight," he chuckled between breathes, trying not to feel too bad about his defeat. "You may have won, but next time I catch you on our side of the territory, you won't be so lucky," Daisypaw finished. Standing up under wobbly legs, the blood stained, white and ginger tom made his way back to camp.
