The soft rays of morning light covered the ThunderClan camp. The soft warm glow sank deep into Marshstorm's pelt as he stretched out his muscles from evening patrol. Still, the tom wouldn't sleep. Not today. Instead he turned towards the apprentices den. To where a ball of brown fur was sleeping. Coyotefang's apprentice... now his apprentice. His ears flattened sadly. His mind still not making sense of a death that never should have happened, yet he had to take it in stride. He had to accept it, and move on, if not for himself but for the clan as well. He glanced over at the warrior's den for a moment, before he stepped into the soft cool apprentices den.

He reached out with a paw to gently nudge the apprentice's nest.
"Owlpaw. Come with me." He murmured. His dark paws seemed so large and clumsy among all these smaller cats as he slowly picked his way back out into the center of camp. His amber eyes patient, but waiting expectantly.

Owlpaw almost thought Coyotefang waked her up and sprang up ful exitment only to see Marshstorm. A flood of pain came over her what die you expect?Coyotefang is dead she stil had to remind her every time, oh how she mist him. Why did the warrior life had to be so hard? First her Mother dier before she even reached apprenticehood toen her mentor, what it just her or did everyone she cared for die? If so Owlpaw figured she would never care about Marshstorm. With this decision in mind she padded outside the apprentice den to greed Marshstorm. " so what are we going to do today?"

Marshstorm waited for the apprentice with a sympathetic gaze at her expression as she padded out from the den. He paused a moment to take a breath, then rested his tail on her back in a comforting manner for a moment before he withdrew it slowly.
"I need to see how your hunting skills improved under Coyotefang." He meowed calmly as he began to lead them both through the entrance. He ignored the ghost that he felt when he said his former nephew's name. It wouldn't help. No, those ghosts needed to stay buried as he brought them up the long path up the gorge and towards a patch of woodland away from the well-worn path of patrols, then stepped out of her way. "Try hunting something." He encouraged her patiently. "Don't worry about what it is, just focus on showing me your method."

Owlpaw was a bit nerveus showing her hunting skills to her mentor and Thunderclan deputy, what if she messes up real bad? What if she trips over? its going to be okay, he just wants to see what I can it is not a test its improving your skills, should not be to hard.

She smelled the air a squirrel! That could be an easy prey! Owlpaw saw that the squirrel was above her up in the tree's that wouldn't be a problem she unsheeted her claws and climbed the tree focusing on the squirrel. She looked down for a split second to make sure she was not going to high. I can do this she looked at the squirrel who came closer to her, she makes herself ready and jumped to the branch the squirrel was sitting on. please Starclan let this go right.
she landed right on top of the squirrel, the branch shaking dangerously, and killed it in one bite.
"don't worry I go-" her sentence was kut of by the branch who made a loud krack. Owlpaw froze the branch was going to break! She had to get out! she looked down and saw Marshstorm under the tree " Help!" was the only thing she managed to say in her panic.
