Flightless Birds [Closed]

Shrikepaw waited at the entrance of the camp for his mentor. He was told they were going on a patrol today, but Swiftflight needed to take care of something before they could head out. Shrikepaw didn't like the fact that Honeypaw seemed to be going places while he was stuck doing nothing. At least most of the time he was doing nothing for some reason. So the tom was a bit impatient.

Clambering out of the nursery on large paws, Swiftflight spotted Shrikepaw at the entrance to camp, right where he was supposed to be. He'd been taking prey to Moonlight, as he did often. He cared a lot for his mother, and the close bond that had grown between them didn't end when he became a warrior. Padding towards the black and white tom, he mewed a quick 'thank you' and flicked his tail, motioning for his apprentice to follow him. "We'll be hunting today, Shrikepaw." Once he was out of the camp walls, he looked back to make sure the smaller apprentice had followed him as told.

"Hunting sounds good to me." The apprentice said. The black and white tom stood and followed his mentor out of camp. He was ready to get his training out of the way. He wanted to get his warrior name and show Honeypaw who was better. He wasn't going to let that disloyal squirrel brain show him up.
