Not sure if all of these are on Netflix, but here you go.

My Hero Academia - You said no heroes, but... I mean, it's worth a shot?
Death Parade - If you like angst and something to really make your brain work. It's PG-13 at the least.
Wolfs Rain - Just... man. So many categories. It's about wolves in a post apocolyptic world trying to find paradise.
Nichijou - Fun silly humour. No serious plot, but it's a lot of fun <3
Assassination Classroom - Students are tasked with killing their teacher, who happens to not be human.
Fruits Basket - A super cute and fun Romance with a bit of dark undertones.
All Studio Ghibli movies - Yes. All of them. Especially Princess Mononoke.
DN Angel - It's good, it's fun but like almost everything else has a couple dark undertones.

I'm not sure if these are on Netflix either, but here you go. Take some anime.

Violet Evergarden--show about a fourteen year old war veteran with robo hands. It may sound weird, but in my opinion it's really good. Get ready for feels, and graphics are really good too.

A Place Further than the Universe--I guess it's considered adventure? A trip to Antarctica.

Beyond the Boundary--lots of action, supernatural, romance, really good graphics.

Yuru Camp--Might or might not be boring to you. Summed up this way, it's cute girls, camping, and delicious food. A really relaxing show.

Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san--slice of life, comedy

I could come up with a lot more, but that's it for now. If you do decide to try My Hero Academia which Cays recommended, I have only one thing to say: Toga is da best.

HUGE thanks for the lists of recommendations, cays and transient! i think i'll particularly like wolfs rain, nichijou, assassination classroom, karakai jouzu no takagi-san, yuru camp, and beyond the boundary! they all seem really cool and i am very grateful ^v^
oh, and i don't mind the hero thing! i was moreso saying that i'm not interested in "classic" superhero shows like marvel & dc. i've heard a lot about mha and that it's good, so!

Sherlock holmes maybe? Trust me its a lot more funny than you may think at first my bff literally locked us both in her bedroom and she forced me to watch complete season 1.

Aw yeah! I should've mentioned that I love mysteries. My closest friend has talked to me about Sherlock Holmes once or twice and that it's one of her favorite shows, so I'll add it! Thanks, rainy!
