Basic Training

Scorchfang softly sniffled and looked down at Lionpaw, tears swimming in his eyes. He smiled weakly, then began taking deep breaths to calm himself back down, drawing a paw over his face to wipe the tears away. "I-I'm sorry you had to see me like that... A kit should never have to see his parent cry, especially when his parent is deputy of a Clan. Cats need him to be strong, not emotionally compromised. Thank you, though." He smiled gently and rasped his tongue between his son's ears.

Lionpaw purred -That may be true dad but, is bad to hold back for too long, sometimes you need to let it out -he smiles- you´re okay now, right? do you feel better?

"Thank you, Lionpaw. I appreciate it. You're a very good cat, and I'm proud to call you my son." Scorchfang nuzzled his apprentice's cheek briefly before standing up. "Now, why don't we get back to training? Would you like to do some battle training, or practice your hunting training a little more?"

-Anytime dad- said Lionpaw, purring, his ear perked up -I want to try battle training, please-

"Great! Let's get started then." The large tom bounded a few tail-lengths away and turned to face Lionpaw, then crouched in a battle position. "Alright, attack me! Give it everything you've got! Don't worry, I'll be able to take it."

Lionpaw took his distance too, he was about to attack but, he lifted a paw and looked at it, then at his dad -Claws in or out?-

Scorchfang shook his head. "No claws. Just use your paws."

-Oh, ok then-

Lionpaw folded his ears down and charged, to attack, and made a front attack.

Lionpaw used Front Paw Strike on Scorchfang, dealing 0 damage and costing 10 stamina

Scorchfang took the attack head-on, but still flinched at the force of the blow. He grinned down at Lionpaw. ”I could really feel your power behind that blow. Now, let’s see how you do against this!” He leaped on Lionpaw, knocking him over on his back and gently yet firmly pinning his chest to the ground with his large paws.

Scorchfang used Leap-and-Hold on Lionpaw, dealing 0 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Lionpaw is Pinned for two turns.

Lionpaw smiled proudly, but his smile dropped when the older cat managed to pin him down, he couldn´t move an inch!.

-W-whoa!- he struggled, but he couldn´t move, he was trapped, he folded his ears down, smiling sheepishly at his father -U-ummm okay you got me dad, can you get off now?- 

”Oh, I dunno... I think I wanna savor my prey first,” Scorchfang smirked. He bent down and began nuzzling his muzzle against his son’s cheeks and ears, tickling inside his ears with his nose.

Lionpaw started laughing and struggled more, trying to push his father off, no success -D-dad! come on! stop it!-

"What, just because your father is deputy that means he can't play with you?" the tom teased lightheartedly, enjoying playing with his son. He purred and began rasping his tongue against his ears.

Scorchfang continued using Leap-and-Hold on Lionpaw, dealing 0 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Lionpaw is Pinned for one turn.
