A Wild Rogue has Appeared! {CLOSED}

The white tom walked hiding in the tall grass as he tracked the den of a bunny he had folllowing since yesterday. At first, he found it outside of the clan lands but as he started following, he slowly entered into Windclan’s territory, unaware of where he was. Bone’s stomach grumbled and he contained a frustrated hiss. He was hungry and he needed that prey.... Now was his chance.

Once the small animal left it’s den, the rogue jumped to it and closed its jaws around its neck. He purred delighted as he lifted his tail proudly. Finally a good piece of meat! But his excitement wouldn’t last too long... the scent of another cat reached his nostrils and he frowned, concerned.

Padding through the flat moors and past the light wind, Acornpelt patrolled her Clan's territory alone. Her paws were steady as she trekked through the upland, alert for any possible intruder. A scent of rabbit washed over the she-cat's nose, and Acornpelt flicked her tail excitedly. 

Following the smell carefully, a sudden, unfamiliar odor hit her nostrils- and it wasn't prey. She narrowed her eyes, looking up, observing the supposedly empty grassland. A flash of white caught the corner of the tabby's eye, and Acornpelt whirled around, her neck fur bristling. Just a few fox-lengths away, she could see a white cat- tom, and it had no distinguishable Clan smell. Wait a minute- this cat had prey! WindClan prey! Acornpelt had to hold back a hiss as she changed her pace, lowering herself to the ground as she crept on the rogue. Yowling, Acornpelt barreled herself into the surprised tom, claws unsheathed and her paws outstretched, sending them both rolling on the moor.

Acornpelt used Jumping Strike, dealing 10 damage and using 20 SP.

The large warrior helped aurprised by the sudden attack that he had to drop his fresh-kill. He rolled with the she-cat for a few seconds before getting in top of her and pinning his claws on her shoulders. Bone hissed at her, his fur bristling. ”You will pay for that, clan cat! That prey belongs to me! I caught it by my own so piss off!”

Bone used Leap-and-Hold, dealing 9 damage and costing 10 stamina. Acornpelt is pinned for 1 turn.

Growling at the Clanless scum, Acornpelt twisted and struggled underneath his grip. Hissing and failing to throw the tom off, she cursed under her breath for letting this rogue pin her down. Her claws gripping the ground, Acornpelt managed to speak through unsteady breaths. "That prey belongs to WindClan. Just because you caught it, doesn't mean it's yours! That would be equivalent to you finding a kit with Clan scent on it and calling it yours. Prey isn't a game of finders-keepers! Go hunt somewhere else!"

The rogue hissed with anger and he jumped back just to slash the she-cat back with his claws, from her scruff to the middle of her back. ”Don’t talk me about fairness, clan cat! Your clan keeps to it self all the hunting lands and we, outsiders, are forced to eat crowfood because of your fault.”

Bone used Rear-up to Slash, dealing 11 damage and costing 15 stamina.

Hissing with pain, Acornpelt took this chance to repay the rogue cat and leaped onto his back the same way he had done to her, except maybe a little more smoothly. She dug her claws into the white pelt and dragged them down his back, hoping to leave some sort of mark. "All? WindClan barely even gets the hunting grounds it deserves! All the other Clans, especially RiverClan and ShadowClan, have so much more territory than us! That is why we must protect our borders, and protect them well."

The tom growled like a bear and he struggled to escape from the she-cat’s pin but because of his lack of proper training, he failed miserably. Bone hissed and dig his claws into the dirt, wishing it was the she-cat’s neck. ”Boo hoo, poor you! Don’t talk me about fairness when you have never faced real starvation! At least you have hunting ground with healthy prey! You clan cats are just a bunch of weak losers who don’t what real suffering is outside of their borders.“

Acornpelt would've sunk her claws even deeper into the white pelt, but it was near impossible because of how the rogue was tossing and turning. Gripping on tight so she wouldn't be thrown off, the she-cat couldn't help but roll her eyes at the tom's ignorant words. "Don't act as if you know what goes on inside the Clans," she spat. "All the Clans have suffered hard Leaf-bares. We, of all cats, would know! You only hunt for yourself. The warriors and apprentices have to hunt twice as hard so they can feed the elders and kits who are unable to hunt for themselves. Clan life isn't as easy as you think it is! Our food and shelter don't just come to us like kittypets!"

Bone hissed and kept fighting with a fiery passion. He could feel the she-cat’s Grip getting weaker... he couldn’t give up now! ”Oh, then tell me what happens to OUR kits?! All my siblings died of starvation when we trying to survive! My mother had to abandon us because she couldn’t find enough food for her her kittens! Clan cats like you have the privilege of living in communion and with their families because they keep all the hunting lands for themselves and they don’t let outsiders like me join them because we’re not pure and because we don’t share your beliefs! All of you are just selfish, arrogant cats!”

Unable to hold on any longer, Acornpelt leaped off the tom and stalked towards him slowly, hissing, hackles raised. Suddenly, she stood up on her two hind legs and battered him with her two front paws. She couldn't help but feel a stab of sympathy as she realized that this rogue hadn't decided to be a rogue- he was born one, and though he could easily obtain it, refused the soft life of a kittypet. Though that part was true, Acornpelt still had some things to argue against. "It's not because you're not pure. We have plenty of Clan cats who have tainted blood! The thing is, though, how can we trust an outsider? Plenty of times, before, Clans have been lured into foolery by rogues. Just because some cat mutters a few words of loyalty doesn't mean it's true! You want to join a Clan? Take a visit to SkyClan, because that's the only Clan where what I just said applies. They take anyone, even kittypets, the fools."

Bone didn’t wait any second to fight back when he was finally released. In a swift move, he closed his jaws around the tail of the she-cat and then pulled her down to the ground. Probably stunned, the rogue let go of her, spitting the fur and blood out of his mouth. ”But then again, they won’t allow me to enter because I don’t share your beliefs. There’s no afterlife than this to me and I don’t understand your clan system. Why should I learn it? Just to have the lands that other rogues want just like me? I would be an hypocrite. Just let me leave with this prey and I won’t come back.” He mewed. Bone was older and he was getting tired of this. He knew he wouldn’t have the strength to keep fighting.

It took a moment for Acornpelt to realize what was going on again as her tail was pulled sharply, hissing in pain as her body stiffened. Through her tightened anatomy, the brown tabby managed to mutter a few words. "And how would you know? Have you tried? You can't know the outcome of something for sure, especially when you have minimal knowledge. That is, of course, unless you've been spying." She meowed, her words traced with suspicion and mockery.
