Emberheart felt like something was missing. But the last time she had let that feeling hold onto her, she had almost lost herself, and that wouldn't happen again. Instead, she recalled an apprentice whose mentor was no longer with them, and made her way to him. "Blackpaw, would you like to go on a patrol?" she asked, feigning the happiness she didn't yet feel. Hunting was when she felt at her best, after all, and if she could somehow help one of her Clanmates in trying to help herself, she would be happy then.
