Character Aging System ~ Feel free to use/suggest improvements!

'Ello there guys! :D  So last night I couldn't sleep, and I had WCC on the brain; so, I created this!  It's a conceptual aging system for characters from birth to death, that works with the site's ranking system!  It can really help to keep track of IC interactions, and how your cat grows from moon to moon as they get older.  I'm going to put this into effect soon with my characters, and if you like what you see feel free to use it for your own as well!

If you see a way that this system could be improved upon, please feel free to tell me!  I will also be adding a section for outsiders soon, but it will basically be the same system as apprentices/warriors, with them growing 1 moon per week.

Oh…wow…hm…lets see…. (I’m just counting weeks from warrior ceremony day to current day and adding 12 moons).

Moonlight: 101 Moons old. All cool here, I guess, since she’s perma-queen
Blizzardstar: 106 Moons old. Not surprised, she was my first kitter after all ^^
Nightheart: 99 Moons old. Oh my…geez girl, gotta rank you up at once, you don’t fit in this system’s ranking…dayum, you would instantly become an elder by now if it was implemented.
Hawkstrike: 98 Moons old. Ufff…same story as Nightheart, pal…I seriously need to get your plot going.
Sootwhisper: 89 Moons old. My most neglected kitty…I’m so sorry, I gotta put you in super-high priority so you can hit Senior soon, and most importantly revive your plot thread and finish it…if I’m allowed
Bonekit: Lil kitter…if we counted his age by days since birth, he is at 13 days from birth so he is quite overdue, but there is a development reason for it, will need to get straight to it soon to get him to apprentice…

Flickerpaw: 22 moons
Crowkit: 6 moons
Spotfur: 19 moons
Blossomheart: 20 moons
Cinderfall: 12 moons

@Jade: Thanks! :D  I'm not trying to get this implemented in any formal manner, it was just an idea that I thought I would share, but I wouldn't object to it being an official system, if enough people wanted it.

Leopardclaw: 52 moons old.  He was found at around 1 moon old, and I assumed he had been apprenticed at the normal six moon mark; he has a good 50 moons left in him as deputy.  (If he was a warrior he would be Experienced)

Finchstream: 64 moons old.  HOLY COW she's older than Leo xD  That's because of the high-rank rule, but still.  She took a LONG time to become a warrior, so that's where most of her age comes from.  She would be a senior warrior by now.

Ryeheart: 66 moons old.  Same with Finch, he took a while to become a warrior.  Still, he should be a senior by now xD

Laurelsong: 61 moons old.  Blah blah, same story, I take forever with requirements xD  She would be a Senior too

Night of Stormy Gales: 82 moons old.  Night is a bit odd, because I first rped him as an adult.  When I created him I had him around the age of a older Young Warrior/Warrior, so I counted up from 30 moons.  He would be a senior warrior or elder by now.

Fernpaw: 31 moons old.  I need to get her adulted asap xD  She should be a Warrior rank by now.

I was thinking, when I implement this system for myself, that I would wait to do it until my cats rank up (expect Rye since he's gonna die) and just reset their ages in the eyes of the system, like this.

Finch ~ YW to W ~ 30 moons
Laurel ~ YW to W ~ 30 moons
Night ~ N/A to NAP ~ 30 moons (?)
Fern ~ APP to NAP ~ 12 moons

They'll still be old in how long they've been alive, but I'll reset it in context of their ranks.

Nutfur: 63 moons. Just a moon younger than Finch, like how we RPed it.
Nectarleap: 63 moons. Same as Nut, which isn't surprising. He became an apprentice a day after her.
Curlyfeather: 50 moons. It seems like I've had her for longer.
Swoopnose: 38 moons. My youngest kitty.
Dryad: 48 moons. I started RPing her as an adult, so this isn't too surprising. I used kit and warrior aging for her.

I think this is neat! I personally wouldn't use it too much because of how much I already organize but neat for people who want to keep track of this

Ooh! You could add stages of development or something (Stuff like when a cat is around 120 moons old their fur will start to go gray, or how cats will be fully-grown when they reach Newly Appointed Warrior rank but can still fill out until they're around 14 months.) if you realllly wanted to.

Heronflight is approximately 23 moons old according to this.

My cats are so young. cx If Honey becomes a warrior right when she can, though -- after four weeks -- then she'll only be nine moons, lol. That's pretty young for a warrior.
