Rainpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Ashstar leapt onto the Tallrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!"

Rainpaw curiously padded over to the Tall Rock. Was this another apprentice ceremony? Or.. could it be? He knew his warrior ceremony was coming up. Was it today?

Ashstar looked down at the apprentice, nodding respectfully. "We gather here today to make one of our apprentices a warrior. Rainpaw, please step forwards." Once the tom did, she continued with the ceremony. "I, Ashstar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Rainpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" She looked him in the eyes gravely, trying to judge his commitment. It was a serious promise.

Rainpaw’s eyes widened, today was th day! He padded forward, shaking. ”I d-do.”

Ashstar nodded. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Rainpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Rainwhisper. StarClan honors your dedication and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan." The leader leapt down and rested her muzzle on top of the new warrior's head, finishing the ceremony with a respectful smile.

Rainwhisper puffed out his chest, purring. He did it! He was finally a warrior!
