A hunting patrol

Dawnpaw was beginning to grow restless. She had unlimited energy inside that was waiting to be let out. She bounced around at the camp entrance, humming some unknown tune to herself. She cleared her throat, "HAY, ANYONE WANNA GO HUNTING WITH ME?" She called to the camp, making sure that her announcement could've been heard to every corner.

Rowantalon's ears flicked, a small smile on his maw. "No need to shout, Dawnpaw." He teased, flicking his spotted tail. "A border patrol just left, but I think I could take you into the territory if you'd like to practice hunting." The short-legged warrior began to walk towards the camp entrance, his whiskers twitching.

Dawnpaw giggled at Rowantalon's tease. She bounced around him and then outside of camp. She raced into the marshlands, her paws kicking up mud. She almost immediately smelled prey. It was lizard. She stalked the creature, her tail high in the air. She pounced on the lizard, but lost her footing and missed it by a quarter of a tail length. She scrambled around trying to catch the scaled prey, but never caught it.
