More Family[CLOSED]

Willowpaw jumped up and nudged Shadepaw and Nectarleap. "Can we go hunting? Pleeease?"

"Yeah! Can we go hunting Dad, Pleeeeeeeeeease?" Shadepaw looked at her father Nectarleap, then to her brother Willowpaw. She looked forward to being able to go hunting, and was striving to get out of camp.

"Hunting? Okay, let's go," Nectarleap replied quickly, a bit surprised by the sudden request from his kits. Well, there was no reason not to, and plenty of reasons to do so. Jumping to his paws, he flicked his tail towards the camp's exit. The thought of spending some time hunting on the open moor with Shadepaw and Willowpaw was irresistible. Both providing for his clan and bonding with his family. What more could a tom ask for?

Willowpaw jumped up and down once or twice, then licked Nectarleap. "Thanks!" He bounded out of camp to catch more prey than Shadepaw

Shadepaw pranced out of camp, following her brother. Without checking if her father had followed, she sniffed the air, following the scent of a hare. She dropped into the hunters crouch, and sneaked up on the creature, making sure she was downwind. When she felt she was close enough, she pushed up on her hind legs, leaping onto the animal. She then killed it, with a swift bite to the neck. Burying it, she looked back to see how the others were coming along.

As always, Nectarleap was a bit surprised by the speed that his two kits took off. He might not be their biological father, but they sure did take after him. Muttering good-naturedly, he trotted out into the territory after Willowpaw and Shadepaw. His daughter was a great hunter, he already knew that, and he assumed his son was the same way. But he actually hadn't seen him in action yet. Making up his mind to check how he had done later, the warrior scented the air. The scent of rabbit hit his nose, and he followed it a small ways. The small brown creature had found a small patch of dandelion leaves. This catch would have to be made quickly, before it could eat the whole thing. This might be a hunting patrol, but the clan could always use more herbs, particularly during this hard time. Crouching low, he nearly slithered towards it, pretty soon close enough to pounce. But he rushed. In his hurry to get the herbs, he didn't focus too much on technique. Without looking back, the rabbit sprinted away. Not too bad, he still got the leaves. Pulling them up, he walked over to his kits.

Willowpaw decided to be different, noticing the weak, bumbling, fat rat(or maybe it was another rodent- he didn't know) that was coming from the direction of Shadowclan territory. "Ha. I've got you now..." He quietly muttered as he bounded towards it. The rodent let out a shriek and turned around to run, but Willowpaw landed squarely on its back, killing the confused creature.

Shadepaw stopped when she smelled something she didn't usually. It smelled different, something that wasn't that common on Windclan Territory. Squirrel! she thought. She followed the scent and it wasn't long until she saw he squirrel, it's fluffy brown tail wriggling. She stalked the creature, her mouth watering at the scent. She then leaped, pinning the creature. She then killed it with a bite to it's neck.

Placing the dandelion leaves off the one side, Nectarleap scented the air once again. After a few moments of careful searching, a smell reached his nose. Smiling to himself, he realized that it was one of his favorites, though not as common as rabbits or hares. Grouse. Slowly stalking the ground-dwelling bird, he checked to make sure that he was downwind. Once sure her was all set, he crouched down low, stalking towards it as carefully as he could. This didn't need to be rushed. Soon he was close enough to make his move. With a swift, slightly higher jump, he pounced on it. As expected, it flew up a whisker-length, right into his paws. A clean bite to the neck was enough to finish it off. A proud smile strewn on his face, he padded back towards the others.

IC: Willowpaw scented a rabbit. He dropped down to locate it, and found it was a single pounce away.

IC: Willowpaw sniffed. He couldn't smell anything, so he walked around low in the grass for a little before finally catching a whiff of mouse. His eyes were on the ground, senses focused on finding the prey. He didn't see, smell, hear, or sense at all the predator coming for him.

The fox was hungry. The fox had trekked here from watery land, with bad cats there to kill. Now she saw grey cat. Little cat was not watching. Small cat was food. The fox stepped quietly so prey would not hear. He was close now. The cat was about to locate mouse. The fox had to act fast.

Willowpaw was about to pounce on the mouse when he was overwhelmed with fox scent. A split second later, teeth bored into his body as he was lifted up, the fox's jaws clamping on him... and hard. He thought he heard a crack and felt a snap in his ribs. He screamed, a piercing shriek that traveled across the moor, hopefully to Shadepaw and Nectarleap. Then the fox clamped a little harder and the world went black as the limp Willowpaw fell to the ground.

Fox used Iron Bite, using 20 stamina and dealing 30 damage. Willowpaw is KO.
