Sparkkit tries to get out of camp (Open)

Sparkkit yawned. Living in camp without leaving was making him bored. He thought about it and started to walk towards the exit of camp. He figured he was old enough to leave camp now so he thought he would try it.

"Where do you think you're going?" Swoopnose ran over to Sparkkit, who seemed to be trying to escape from camp. Why? As a kit, he always wanted to bother everyone inside of camp, not go out alone into the huge woods. Scooping up the kit by the scruff, he plopped him down next to the fresh-kill pile. Trying to seem stern, he looked at his son with his best disappointed expression. Fathers were supposed to teach their kits, and he would do so. "Why were you trying to leave?"

"In Camp it's the same thing, everyday and I thought I would be old enough to go out of camp." Sparkkit said.

"You'll be old enough once your name ends in paw. I'm sure we can find something fun to do inside camp," Swoopnose reassured, confident that he was right. As a kit he had always found plenty of interesting things to do inside of camp. That usually involved meeting new friends. Looking around, the warrior tried to find someone to introduce Sparkkit to. There had to be someone that he hadn't met here...

Birchheart had finished sorting through the new bedding for her nest. Last time, bits of the bramble wall had broken into it and she wasn't letting her kits get stuck with thorns in the middle of the night. Rolling up the old bedding and burying the thorns, she looked around only to see Sparkkit and Swoopnose. With a purr, she trotted over to them, nuzzling Swoopnose's cheek and tucking her head to lick her son's forehead. "What's this all about?"

Helping his mother arrange the new bedding, Palekit soon picked up on the ruckus outside, following his mother to investigate. His eyes narrowed with a bitter-sweet expression at Sparkkit, his ever-so adventurous brother. Why couldn't he stay put and help mother as well? Shaking his head more to himself, the larger kit sighed and settled down at his parents' paws, watching his brother calmly. "If you wanted to play, we have spare moss left from the old bedding. The thorns in it are sure to shut you up." he edged, quite viciously, but with no influence to his tone.

Sparkkit looked at his family and sighed. "Sorry." He said.

"It's fine, Sparkkit. Now maybe you can play with your brother or meet some of your clanmates inside camp," Swoopnose explained to Sparkkit, wondering if he had been strict. He gave Palekit a disproving glance when he mentioned thorns inside of a mossball. But he didn't say anything, trusting that his son had the sense to not do as he said. turning to Birchheart, he smiled. As much work as it was, it was worth it. Hopefully she felt the same way, even though she had to do way more work to take care of them. "Sparkkit tried to sneak out of camp, but he's going to find an encamp activity to do now."
