"Good job," she mewed, panting. "Now you've got some fighting experience." She looked around. "Why don't we try hunting some more? There's bound to be prey still around, and we don't want to go back empty-pawed. We can bring the Raccoon back as prey, too." She trotted off a short distance to search for prey. A mouse, small paws grasping at the dirt, sat with its back turned to her a few fox-lengths away. Noticing its tiny body, she dropped automatically into a hunting crouch, taking a few seconds to calculate her attack before leaping. She landed on nothing, however, and looked up just in time to see an owl swooping towards her through the trees. "Dawnpaw! Owl!" she cried, ducking behind a tree. As its cruelly hooked talons approached her hiding place, she dashed out from behind the tree and reared up on her back legs, slashing wildly at the enormous bird.

As the owl struck her pelt with its talons, she backed away, grimacing. "Dawnpaw! Go!" This was horrible luck. What were the chances they would run into two different predators on the same patrol? She could only hope that her apprentice could still hold her own after the exhausting Raccoon attack.


Tansyheart used Rear-up to Slash on the Owl, dealing 11 damage and costing 15 stamina.

Owl used Talon Strike on Tansyheart, dealing 10 damage and costing 10 stamina.
