| Dawnkit walked out of the nursery, her tortoiseshell pelt shining. She had groomed herself the best she could for her apprentice ceremony. | Scorchfang smiled down at the kit, pleased that she had taken the time to make herself presentable to the Clan on such an important day. "Dawnkit, step forward." Once the tortoiseshell kit did as she was told, he continued. "You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Dawnpaw. Your mentor will be Tansyheart. I hope she will pass down all she knows on to you." He sincerely hoped he had made the right choice.
