Sprucekit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to hunt their own prey, gather beneath the willow branch for a clan meeting!" Jaystream called from the top of the branch. Leaf-bare was slowly coming to an end and new kits were now turning into apprentices. This day remembered the day he became an apprentice under Fishstar's leadership. It felt like it was yesterday even if it was moons ago. When would he ever imagine that that scared Jaypaw would be the deputy he was now?

Sprucekit walked out of the nursery and sat down in a place that wasn't so surrounded by other cats. He shyly looked around. He was around so many wonderful she-cats and respectable tom-cats. The kit looked up at the deputy and gave him a smile, thinking he saw it. Jaystream was one of the toms he looked up to the most. A kind deputy indeed.

"We gather today to celebrate the ascension of one of our kits to the apprentice rank. Sprucekit, please step forward." The tom called with a happy, landing his gaze on the young kit. Today it was a special day in his short life and he wanted to make it a happy one.

The large tom gave him a gentle smile once he was closer and then he looked at him with a serene expression, ready to continue talking."Sprucekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and now it is time for you to be apprenticed. From now on you will be known as Sprucepaw and your mentor will be Sandfrost, my sister. She's a young but strong warrior that would surely teach you everything you need to become a strong and loyal Riverclan warrior. I pray to the stars to guide you in your path, Sprucepaw." He purred, enjoying the rest of the celebration with his fellow clanmates.

Sandfrost's eyes widened when she was called. She stood up with a happy twinkle in her eyes as she walked up to Sprucepaw. "I will teach you all I know and to the best of my ability! I will make you a warrior Riverclan will be proud of for moons to come!" The warrior turned and left for the warrior's den after the ceremony.
