Skirmish of the Cats that smell like trees

Tawneypaw moved along behind Foxhunter and Pantherblaze with Swirlpaw beside her. The tortoiseshell apprentice's eyes surveyed the part of SkyClan's territory that butted up with ThunderClan. Since ThunderClan and RiverClan had high tensions, ThunderClan was on high alert. They had been patrolling their borders more so than not. Tawneypaw smelled ThunderClan's scent becoming stronger as they approached the border marker, the Fallen Oak.

ooc: sorry this is awful, I'm not really sure how the skirmish will start, maybe an apprentice crosses the border? If anyone has any better ideas then just go with it.

Swoopnose padded along with his patrol, glad to be with Birchheart. The cold had stopped bothering him too much, probably because he had gotten used to it after such a long time with cold weather. They were pretty far along with their patrol, already having passed the more dangerous RiverClan border. Just SkyClan was left. But as the small group of cats reached the Fallen Oak, he could smell the other clan’s scent much too clearly for it to just be from border markers. Looking around, he coul see the other patrol a little ways away from the border. Oh no. Hopefully a fight wouldn’t break out.
