Swirlkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Crowstar called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a clan meeting!"

Swirlkit snuck her way out of the nursery scared of the other cats. Today she would become apprentice and learn to be a warrior. She was so excited but still scared. She sneaked her way through the crowd and sat up front.

"Today we are gathered to name an apprentice. Swirlkit please come forward." The leader waited for a moment for the shy kit to come forward. "Swirlkit you have reached the age of six moons, and from this moment on, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Swirlpaw. Your mentor will be Russetpelt." The leader said. He jumped down ending the ceremony.

Swirlpaw smiled and looked at russetpelt.

Russetpelt pricked his ears and smiled as his name was called. He touched noses with his new apprentice. ”I’ll try my hardest to make sure you become an amazing warrior.”
