Broken Silence (open to apprentices and above in rank)

Silentpaw wandered aimlessly about the camp. She was an apprentice now, but honestly she didn't feel any different at all. What did she do now? It was all too much too fast. She was having a hard time remembering her name was Silentpaw now. She barely responded when someone said her name, being totally used to Silentkit. And now she had so many responsibilities to take care of too!

Her head was spinning.

Suddenly it hit her. 'I'm an apprentice now... I can leave the camp!'

Did she have to wait for her mentor to do that? Or could she go alone? Did she have to bring someone with her? She barely knew anyone though!

With a soft sigh, the solid white she-cat sat down and stared longingly at the entrance of the camp. She was afraid of even moving forward on her own... how would she ever become a warrior? She wished she had someone to talk to about this but she was afraid of saying the wrong thing to people, and most of the other apprentices were full of excitement. She didn't see an ounce of anxiety in them.

"Now what...?" she mumbled, turning her eyes up to the sky. Would Starclan help her?

Minnowpaw where sitting outside the apprentice den grooming herself when she noticed the new apprentice Silentpaw staring at the camp entrance. She got up and walked up to the younger apprentice. Once she got closer she noticed that the apprentice seemed nervous "Something wrong sweetie?" she asked with a soft meow and sat down by Silentpaws side.

Silentpaw nearly jumped out of her skin, gasping softly and spinning around to look at the cat. "Ah!" Then she realized how foolish she must have just looked. She scrambled back to a semi-normal position, clearing her throat and fumbling over her words "Ahm er h-hi, I was j-just um... N-no, nothing's wrong!"

Her mind raced, tripping over itself as she tried to figure out what to say next. "J-just, trying to g-get used to... um... things." She glanced again towards the camp entrance, then at the she-cat in front of her. She hadn't even yet met her mentor. Her mind idly wandered for a moment, wondering where her brothers might be. Her father and brothers were the only people she was honestly comfortable talking to.

Silentpaw's attention went back to Minnowpaw, eyeing her nervously as she tried to remember who this cat was. She mentally berated herself for being so forgetful.

Minnowpaw smiled slightly "Still getting used to being a apprentice?" she asked. She then rememberd that she hadn't introduced herself "Oh! I forgot! I'm Minnowpaw,
soon to be a warrior in a moon or two I hope" she meowed quickly.

Rosepaw came out of the apprentice den after another nightmare. She had watched as hailpaw died right infront of her and being the emotional cat she was couldn't deal with it. She noticed minnowpaw with a apprentice she didn't know and walked over. "hey minnowpaw." she said weakly and sat down to scared to think straight she forgot to say hi to the other cat.

Silentpaw nodded at Minnowpaw, still nervous. "I'm scared... it's all so strange and new." she mewed, then jumped slightly, startled by her own honesty. She didn't know this cat, normally she was never this honest with someone new. She looked down at her paws, "I don't want to be an apprentice..."

As the new cat approached, Silentpaw became even more on edge before realizing she recognized this cat. "O-oh... h-hi Rosepaw." She mumbled, tail twitching with anxiety.

Minnowpaw smiled at Rosepaw "Hi Rosepaw" she meowed, then she looked back at Silentpaw "I know, it's scary at first but there's nothing to worry about, you'll do great as an apprentice. Who's you'r mentor?" she meowed.

Rosepaw smiled a little bit. "Hi silentpaw." she said remembering the name. Even though they didn't know her well they where probably going to notice her acting different.

"W-Willowheart..." She mumbled, "I still haven't actually met her yet... I'm worried I'll say something wrong." Silentpaw awkwardly scuffed the muddy ground with her feet. "What do I even do now?"

Minnowpaw smiled "Don't worry it took a while before I meet Copperfang, my mentor too. And well you can do kinda whatever you want, you can go on patrols, hang out with friends and more" she purred happly.

Rosepaw looked at them. "I had a good mentor but he stopped trai ing me so others took over." she said sadly remembering her father training her. Those where the good times when there was no clan war or no dead cats every day.

Silentpaw looked up at Minnowpaw "I don't really have many friends per say... other than my brothers." she honestly didn't know who to ask to leave the camp. She wanted to see the territory but...

She looked at Minnowpaw. The she-cat appeared to have no trouble going about her daily life... she was nearly a warrior for Starclan's sake! She seemed so strong in Silentpaw's eyes... like someone to look up to.

Then her azure blue eyes drifted to Rosepaw. She looked as if she was having a hard time, but also seemed to be getting through it. Another person to look up to.

Silentpaw then looked at the camp entrance again. "I'd like to see the world outside of the thorns... but I'm afraid."

Minnowpaw looked towards the camp entrance "Well I can come with you and I'm sure Rosepaw would love to come with us" she meowed and looked back at Silentpaw.

Rosepaw nodded. Hunting could help he get her mind off if hailpaw's death. She smiled at slientpaw hoping to come with.

Her heart raced looking at the two cats excitedly, "R-really? O-of course! B-but I don't know anything about hunting or where the borders are or..." Silentpaw then trailed off, realizing just how unequipped she was to leave the camp. This was a bad idea. "M-maybe I shouldn't..." She mumbled, staring at her paws again.
