in a different light {closed}

The sun had been in the sky for a while now, and the pale rays felt nice and warm on the young she-cat's orange pelt. She had done some grunt work like bringing in moss for the nursery and the elders' den already, so Whitepaw figured she had time to lounge around camp. The extra time that she had to lay around allowed her to think. The young she-cat thought about her future, which included her warriorhood, maybe a mate and some kits.
The part of her thoughts that brought her happiness was her warriorhood, she knew she could do great things when she received her warrior name, but a passing on those traits of a good warrior might not even happen for her. Most of the time Whitepaw was so shy that she thought toms didn't even notice her. Whitepaw laid her head on her paws with slight sorrow, as she thought on the endless possibilities of her life.

Creamfrost padded into camp with some prey in his mouth. He bid farewell to his patrol mates and spotted a lone orange she cat who had a thoughtful face. Curious the to. Dropped his prey onto the pile and padded over. The curly pelted cream colored tom laid next to the she cat. “Hey, what are you thinking about? With such a serious face on it must be some very deep thinking eh?” The tom meowed turning his yellow eyes towards the she cat.

In her own world Whitepaw did not realize that she had company. Her pale green eyes looked over the cream colored warrior that stood in front of her. She had seen him around, and knew his name, but never really had a conversation with him. "The future." She mewed softly. She left it at that, she didn't want to go around burdening cats with her inner turmoil. Whitepaw noticed that he had settled down next to her, so maybe he was interested in the long verison, though that didn't mean she was comfortable enough right off the bat to share.

“Its Whitepaw right? I’m Creamfrost if you didn’t know.” The large fluffy tom meowed looking over and slightly down at her. Creamfrost cursed his mother for his size he didn’t ask to get her large bulky genes. For once the tom wished he was a normal sized male cat but he was pretty sure he was done growing his ears had reached the top of his mothers head but he didn’t think he would get any bigger, maybe his fur but not his height.

ic: "Yep! That's me!"  Whitepaw said sounding a little too eager.  She nodded when the warrior introduced himself. "I've seen you around camp."  It was a good thing that cats can't blush, and even if they could, the bright orange pelt of the little she-cat would have hid it.  She cringed at herself for the lack of thought that went into her words. Of course you've seen him around, you're not fresh out of the nursery, she chided herself mentally.

Creamfrost chuckled. “So what’s your favorite part of being an apprentice and what’s the worst part for you?” He meowed trying to get to know the pretty little she cat.

"Honestly I do not really like anything about being an apprentice. The worst part is probably looking after the elders, they are always so grumpy!" Whitepaw shook her head, the last time she pulled ticks off of the elders she got swatted at for no reason.

Creamfrost chuckled. “Well that’s the life of an apprentice. Being a warrior will be much better.” He meowed.

"I know! I can't wait to finally be a warrior." The orange cat sighed. "It should be soon." Whitepaw was ready for all of the experiences that warriorhood had to offer.

Creamfrost nodded. “Although it’s still a lot of responsibilities.” He meowed with a smile.

"I think I can handle them.  Not to brag, but I think I am a pretty responsible cat."  Whitepaw sat back on her haunches and puffed her chest out.
