Life Saver (Closed, med cat needed)

With a final heave, Swooppaw dropped Robinpaw into the medicine den, collapsing onto the ground as well. After a few moments where exhaustion stopped him from moving even slightly, he managed to life his head and shakily rise to his feet. His sister was extremely close to unconsciousness, and he was more than a little bit worried on her behalf. But hopefully she would be alright now that they were back in camp. The bitter smell of herbs hardly even entered his nose, the scent of blood that was covering his muzzle from dragging her for so long overpowering everything else. He almost couldn't even muster the energy to talk and ask for assistance. Yet he knew he had pressed on this far, and couldn't give up when salvation was literally words away. More tired than he had been for what seemed like moons, he managed to rasp out a few words. "Honeyspark, Maplepaw, help. Robinpaw was attacked by RiverClan."

Robinpaw couldn't move. Her injuries seemed to scream and burn like fire. There were so many scratches down her flank, face and chest that it almost looked like Robinpaw had gone swimming in a river of blood. The apprentice wanted to move, to comfort Swooppaw, to speak to the medicine cats, but it was next to impossible to do anything. Her eyes were closed and her flank rose and fell slowly with her breathing. Heck, she would have been happy being able to twitch an ear or flick her tail, but she couldn't even manage that.

OOC: Sorry for the wait! What type of injuries did Robinpaw get? Are they just the scratches/scars?

IC: Maplepaw rushed to the apprentices. She bent down and began to examine them, brows showing concern. She looked over at Swooppaw first. "Swooppaw, are you also injured? Or are you just feeling out of breath?" Before the tom could answer, the medicine cat apprentice grabbed some moss and water and rushed back to them. She dropped one in front of Swooppaw and kept another for when Robinpaw awoke. She noticed how torn Robinpaw was. Long scratches and deep scars littered her body. She was also losing blood. Maplepaw thought it was best to stop the bleeding first. She went to fetch the necessary materials.

"I'm fine. Just cold and a little tired," Swooppaw croaked thankfully at Maplepaw before his head fell down in the snow. He realized that he was no longer shivering, and realized his body must be too tired for even involuntary movement. But how tried he was could wait. As hard as it was to have dragged a cat heavier than him all the way across the territory on an empty stomach might be, it must be harder to have been dragged across the whole territory with near fatal wounds while struggling to stay awake. He could wait. Robinpaw could not. "Please treat Robinpaw first. The RiverClan warrior almost killed her."

OOC: just the scratches and scars, but like the tom was about twice her size and wanted to kill her, if that helps with how bad they are. also mobile

Robinpaw dimly registered the scent of herbs somewhere in the back of her mind, but it wasn't like she could respond to it or anything. She was cold, and in pain, and tired beyond words. Before, she had tried to stay awake for Swooppaw's sake, but now, well, she supposed it would be fine. She made no further attempt to move, and decided she wouldn't fight sleep if it came to her.

IC: Maplepaw let out a small hiss. How dare that Riverclan warrior almost kill Robinpaw! Riverclan had already murdered poor Thistlepaw. She nodded at Swooppaw's urgent request. Maplepaw gathered some golden rod, cobwebs, and marigold for the larger scars. She then grabbed some cob nuts to ease the sting of the smaller scratches along with some comfrey root to soothe all of Robinpaw's wounds. Maplepaw grabbed some juniper berries for Swooppaw. They give strength and help calm. She took all the herbs and rushed to Robinpaw. The apprentice chewed the marigold petals and began to apply the paste to Robinpaw's larger and deeper wounds, that would help stop the bleeding. She then began to chew the marigold and applied that as well, that helped the more open wounds. She grabbed a few cobwebs and pressed them onto the largest and heavily bleeding wounds. After treating the urgent scars, Maplepaw started to crush and grind the cob nuts into an applicable ointment. She applied the paste onto the smaller scratches. Finally, she chewed the comfrey root into a poultice and applied it to all the wounds that weren't covered by cobwebs. Maplepaw got up and began to walk toward Swooppaw with a few juniper berries. She crouched in front of the tom and pushed the berries to him. "Here Swooppaw. I want you to eat these. They'll give you strength and will help you relax. I'm sure you want to stay up fro Robinpaw and trust me, she'll be fine. All she needs is rest and some water. I'll be organizing my supplies so whenever Robinpaw wakes up..." the medicine cat apprentice grabbed the moss she put aside for Robinpaw and placed it next to Swooppaw before continuing her sentence, "Whenever Robinpaw wakes up, I want you to have her drink some water. If any of you both want something, please call me. I won't be far." With that, Maplepaw left Swooppaw and Robinpaw to rest.

Swooppaw sighed with relief as Maplepaw treated Robinpaw's wounds, glad that his sister would be alright. Now he could relax for just a little bit before it was time for the dusk patrol. His eyelids fluttered shut, but he opened them every few seconds to make sure that the other two apprentices were still there. When he was given the juniper berries, he hesitated but ate them quickly at her instruction. They didn't taste as bad as traveling herbs to his surprise, and he didn't find himself gagging in disgust at their taste. Almost enjoyable. After the medicine cat apprentice told him to relax, he took that as permission to start drifting off. But at her next words, he forced himself to stay awake for a little longer. She was leaving! That meant he would be alone again, and he knew that his sister was most likely no longer awake. When he was by himself, any number of horrible things could happen. Usually, sleep made his fear disappear like magic, but he felt like he couldn't let his guard down. And he needed to be there for his sister if she woke up. However, the juniper berries hadn't started their effect yet, and soon he felt himself drifting off.

Robinpaw felt a kind of relaxing clam settle over her, paired with relief as the herbs started their work on her many wounds. She let out the tiniest sigh. The apprentice's eyes fluttered halfway open, and through her narrowed eyes, she could make out Maplepaw and Swooppaw, and finally understood that she must be home. She wanted to get up and move, but she was in no condition to do so at this point in time. Robinpaw soon closed her eyes again, drifting into a much more peaceful sleep.
