Splashwillow continued to watch Wolfpaw with a neutral expression, even as the pigeon alluded his grasp. Whiskers twitching, the calico slipped back several tail-lengths as her adoptive son took a moment to seemingly collect himself.

He stood up again and looked around, he saw a squirrel quietly collecting some nuts. He got into a hunting crouch once again and slowly creept towards it. He stopped when he was behind it and got ready to pounce. The squirrel was busy collecting nuts and didn't notice him.

Just as he was about to pounce on it he and the squirrel saw a large eagle, it was coming towards them both in full force. The squirrel quickly ran up in the tree out of danger, but Wolfpaw stood there quickly looking around for a place to hide. The eagle where close to hitting him so he quickly jumped to the side. The eagle flew just above the ground. It looked at him and he stared back at it in fright "Splashwillow!!" he yelled out loudly.

The heavy beating of wings made Splashwillow's neck crane back sharply in an attempt to locate the feathered creature was was obviously lurking nearby. At Wolfpaw's call for help, the calico Warrior remained hidden within the nearby foliage, watching as an eagle of all creatures descended upon the fluffy young tom. Whiskers twitching, the calico stayed still for several more heartbeats, impatiently waiting for the large bird to drop down once more. Watching as her adoptive son narrowly avoided the bird, Splashwillow slithered out from her hiding spot and leaped at the bird, her claws raking at the massive bird's belly as she kept low to the ground and out of reach of the eagle's talons.

The eagle shrieked in pain and turned around angrly towards Splashwillow and jumped up into the air, flapping it's large wings then it quickly dived down, hitting the calico warrior that had stiked at it.

Wolfpaw hissed as the talon stiked at his adoptive mother. He ran towards the eagle as it's back where turned away from him. He leaped onto the back of the eagle of it's feet and sending them both tumbling a few fox-leaps. He let go of the eagle and ran up to his adoptive mother "Are you okay?" he asked with panic in his voice.

Wolfpaw used Run-and-Tackle dealing -6 HP and costing -10 SP + -3 HP since opponent where not focused on Wolfpaw

Wrenching herself away from the talons that had just viciously fell upon her exposed shoulders, Splashwillow fell closer to the ground with a low hiss before neatly rolling to the side. Heat blossomed across the brightly colored wounds that now crawled across patched fur of her shoulders, but the Warrior ignored the sensation of rivulets of blood weeping from the new wounds with a simple blink. "I'm fine," She reassured Wolfpaw with a sharp flutter of her whiskers, a hint of wry amusement edging her voice, "This isn't my first time in a fight!" Shaking her head sharply to clear away any lingering tendrils of nagging pain that welled up within her sore shoulders.

Dropping her defensive routine, the small Warrior instead opted at launching a more vigorous offensive strike against the clearly enraged eagle that hovered above them. Bunching her powerful legs beneath her small form, Splashwillow took a moment's reprieve to allow extra power to coil up her limbs before exploding forwards in a massive leap. Catching the eagle with her sharp claws and dragging it down a tail-length or so, the calico Warrior fell back onto her upright hindlegs and swiped at the bird with surprisingly powerful strikes.

The eagle got flew up into the air a little before charging at the cat who had just attacked it. It attacked the small warrior and then flew up a little into the air.

Wolfpaw growled and ran up towards the eagle and jumping onto it. He pushed it down onto the ground and clawed through it's feathers and on it's belly with his hindlegs. He hissed loudly as he did so.

Taking advantage of Wolfpaw managed to pull the bird to the ground once more, Splashwillow ignored the lingering stiffness within her limbs as she took a moment to gather herself for a final attack. Her claws ached in protest from being wrenched so savagely during the various offensive moves she had thrown at the feathered creature, but she still flexed them nonetheless. Dropping into another neat crouch, the calico Warrior braced herself for several long heartbeats as she carefully calculated her timing before striking once more. Leaping forwards and darting towards the wrestling pair, Splashwillow quickly reared up onto her powerful hindlegs before bringing her forepaws down upon the eagle's head with a vicious stroke that rendered the bird void of any remaining fight.

Wolfpaw ran up to Splashwillow "Wow that was cool!" he meowed and looked at his adoptive mother, realizing that he him self had only gotten his fur messy from the fight and nothing else. He looked around "Are we gonna continue the assesment?" he then asked.

OOC: He dosn't need to do the assessment now really because it was either do a hunting assessment or participate in a battle against a cat or predator, right?

Giving herself a vigorous shake that sent a fine stream of blood raining down upon the wilting foliage that surrounded them, Splashwillow took a moment to carefully inspect each of her limbs for any noteworthy damage before gazing at Wolfpaw. "Cool is one way to describe it." She huffed, although there was a slight hint of amusement in her breathless words. 'Cool or not, she was getting too old for fighting eagles midair.' Limping forward a few steps, the calico Warrior thoroughly inspected her adopted son's ruffled form for any eye-catching injuries for several heartbeats. Letting out a short sigh of relief when she only found tangled fur in place of any actual wounds, she gave Wolfpaw an thoughtful glance as she mulled over his question.

"No, I would say that this is a good ending point for the assessment." Splashwillow mewed, shifting her wounded shoulder for emphasis, "If fighting off an eagle doesn't mean that you're ready to become a Warrior, I don't know what does." She finished with an affectionate flick of her tail, her whiskers twitching sharply as she spoke once more, "Let's gather up what you caught and head back to camp."

"Okay" he purred and ran towards where he had dug down the prey he'd gatherd and dug it up. He then picked it up and ran back to his adoptive mothers side. Starting to walk back to camp happly.
