Blackkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Magpiestar jumped onto the Jaggedrock, stretching out his legs and paws before settling down. Fluffing up his fur and clearing his throat, the tom called out to the clan. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Blackkit eagerly came out of the nursery when he heard the leader announce for the clan to gather. He knew what this clan meeting was about because he had been waiting for it for a few days now. He was ready to get out of the camp, explore the territory, and begin to train to become a warrior of his clan.

"Blackkit, please step forward," the tom called out, looking down at the kit quickly before continuing the ceremony. "You have reached the age of six moons, and are now ready to be apprenticed. From this day forth, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Blackpaw." With a nod, he looked towards the warriors sitting beneath him. "Bonestrike shall be your mentor." He was sure he would be a good mentor to the new apprentice. The tom was loyal and strong, and presented himself as a proper warrior.
