Newtpaw's Warrior Ceremony

The black leader jumped onto the large rock, clearing his throat before turning to the empty clearing. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Newtpaw emerged from the apprentice's den with his ears pricked. He had immediately heard the call and now he was curious as to what was to be announced. The tom quickly joined his Clanmates as they gathered beneath the Jaggedrock and looked up at Magpiestar.

"Tonight we gather to make this apprentice a warrior. Newtpaw, please step forward." His amber eyes stared down at the apprentice, a small smile gracing his lips.

"I, Magpiestar, leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Newtpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Determination and ambition glittered in Newtpaw's eyes as he heard his name and took a proud step forwards. He had been training for this ever since he was named 'Newtpaw', and now it was time for all of the training to pay off.
"I do." He said, loudly and clearly.

Magpiestar nodded, and turned his gaze to the night sky above. "Then, by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Newtpaw, from this day forward you shall be known as Newtface. ShadowClan honours your determination and ferocity. Congratulations." With a nod, he jumped down and joined the cheering with his clanmates.
