| Rowantalon coughed and padded towards the camp's entrance. Everything seemed to be going wrong lately- his chest ached and his fur felt sticky and hot. It probably didn't help that he wasn't eating much; he had to save most of it for the younger warriors.

Lizardtail was not far behind his voice. He too looked a little worse for wear, leaving most of the prey to other cats, believing them to be more important than himself.

| Nightpaw noticed warriors gathering near the camp entrance, one of them the father of her adoptive mother, Lilacfall. Presumably they were organizing a hunting patrol. As she approached, she wondered if they'd allow her to join them.
