Make a Wish (Kit Topic for Dandelion's Litter - OPEN)

This had been so sudden, so unexpected. Kits? In leafbare? This was the worst time for that. It was so cold, so barren. She was so cold and had thought herself devoid of any love or happiness, having isolated herself on purpose. Yet she had four or so kits nestled beside her, cuddling up against her for warmth. Was she ready for this? Ready to move on from all the tragedy she carried in her heart? The deaths of her Clanmates, her friends... it weighed down on her like heavy stones straddled across her back. She did not feel ready for this responsibility of having a family and raising the next generation of SkyClan.

But she would have to be.

Her soft, sullen blue eyes graced the forms of Lionkit, a golden, creamy tom that reminded her of her long-gone friend, Lionpaw; Blazingpaw, a bright orange tom that screamed 'fighter' to her; Poplarkit, a quiet, content little bundle that shared her long fur; and Blossomkit, her only she-kit, who bore a very soft shade of creamy orange and her mother's long fur.

They were beautiful. She couldn't have asked for anything more, yet she felt so selfish to be so happy here.

OOC Sage totally won't show favoritism to Blazingkit XD. Also they both have long fur lol

Sageclaw padded into the nursery and settled by Dandeliondapple, his orange and brown fur darkened as the winter sun vanished behind the den walls. He would curl his tail over his paws to show respect to Dandeliondapple, if he had one. He looked at the kits carefully and was glad they all turned out fluffy.

Lionkit poked Blazingkit in the side. He then felt his father's presence in the room and sniffed for him.

Blossomkit heard pawsteps and stopped suckling her mother. "Who dere?" She asked, trying to ask who was there. Her eyes were still closed, making her blind to the world.

"Don't you remember dad's scent from when we tackled him once " Lionkit meowed remembering when he and Blazingkit crawled on Sageclaw. Lionkit had opened his eyes early so he could be better than all the other kits

Mintpaw ducked into the nursery, a soft smile on her face and a plump, fresh mouse in her jaws. "I was out hunting and I thought you might need this. How are you feeling?" She mewed quietly, dropping the mouse at Dandeliondapple's feet and settling nearby, giving Sageclaw a friendly, respectful nod. "Congratulations,"
It took every ounce of her self-control not to jump around excitedly- Since Rippedsky had cared for both Mintpaw and her sister Fernpaw, that made Dandeliondapple her sister and cousin, if Rippedsky's stories about his former mate Cherrymist and her own mother, Pansyface were true.
Why, her own sister, her cousin, her mentor, was now a mother! It was almost too exciting.

Sageclaw crouched down and licked his daughter. "I'm Your Father " While Lionkit bounced around Mintpaw excitedly "Let's Wrestle!" He said challenging the apprentice

Poplarkit, the small brown-and-white kit, was silently suckling and filling himself up with the motherly milk that he needed to keep himself alive and healthy. While the tom kit did hear noises and voices that came from other cats that flooded his tiny ears, he just ignored them all and continued to stay close to his mother, Dandeliondapple, to suckle. He had opened his eyes before, and everything had been a blur to him. He just wanted the world to be clear so he could see it all for himself and explore everything. Despite his kit-like fantasies, the SkyClan kit stayed silent. His round eyes were a shade of blue, considering that he hadn't been alive for that long, but he kept his eyes shut in attempts to make the rest of them leave him alone. All Poplarkit needed at the moment was milk and warmth.

"Thank you," Dandeliondapple replied politely to Mintpaw. "I'm doing fine right now." She felt a little bad that these kits had come so suddenly and taken her away from her warrior duties, the training of Mintpaw included, but for once in her life, she was resting. And happy.

A mrrow of amusement made its way through her as Lionpaw challenged her apprentice. "Be careful, I've trained her very well."

Blazingkit rolled into Lionkit with a cute growl. He nipped at his brother's ear before moving away. He looked up at Sageclaw and Mintpaw with vibrant orange-amber eyes. "H-Hey why are you so tall? Come down here so we can wrestle!" he squeaked while his tiny tail swung around. His soft fur fluffed up and his small body stumbled around while he tried to reach them.

OOC: Btw, he'll be really fluffy when he grows up. ^^

Blossomkit twitched her nose. "I suppose so. Father smells like mother, but different." She could scent that Mintkit and Dandeliondapple were different from the other cats. She wanted to see them. She blinked open her eyes and squinted, finding herself staring into the bright light, with a big shadow. She relaxed her sight and her beautiful amber eyes focused on Sageclaw. "Daddy," She breathed.

OOC: WHYYYYY NOOO

Sageclaw stared at blossomkit in confusion, before turning to Blazingkit. "That will be hard to do since you're so much smaller than me. But I bet you and Lionkit will be just as big and strong as I am when you grow up " 


Lionkit nipped back at Blazingkit when he heard his father's voice "Really? Does that mean you'll train us?" He asked excitedly

OOC: Fiiiine, he won't be! XD

IC: Blazingkit returned the nip and soon jumped up in excitement. "O-Oh I hope you do! We'll become some of the best in the clan!" he declared. "Won't we Lionkit?" he asked while pushing his brother down in an attempt to wrestle.

OOC: I MEANT WHAT BLOSSOMKIT SAID your cat is deffinetly going to be fluffy

OOC: What's wrong with Blossomkit? She only opened her eyes. Not like it's a big deal that Sageclaw is literally the first thing she ever saw.
