| This is by no means happening soon, I just want some development. I've found quite a few obstacles to making a mystery plot on WCC. When the characters don't know who the murderer is, the spectators aren't supposed to either. I've come up with a couple of things I might use such as a dice system for clues.
1-3 Fur
4-5 scent of clan
6-7
8 Faint scent of murderer
9
10
Clues that depend on actual roleplay
No Fear Scent- Done very quickly, possibly planned.
Fear scent- The kill wasn't quick enough.
Signs of Struggle- Claw marks, disturbed environment, bloody. Either the attacker was not strong enough to kill them quickly or this was a spur of impulse.
Fear Scent Trail- This cat was afraid before the attack even happened. The culprit(s) have a history with their victim. Or they chased them.
Deep/shallow claw/tooth marks- Could hint at the cat who killed them. Long claws/teeth or short ones.
Lack of or overdone grief after the body has been brought into mourning.
Gossip.
Possible ways to keep the mystery in this meowstery
All true plotting is done in PMs. Admins will receive information this way. However, the plot list will reveal everyone involved.
Murders are done with no detail of the killer or sparsely done. "The shadowed figure" "A flash of russet fur" or even better, things that can only be noticed if you pay attention and investigate. "A deep voice" You'd only figure it out if you notice a character being described with a deep voice. Physical appearance can be given away by looking up a roleplayers characters.
Murderers send me their murder scenes and I post them, giving anonymity. (Admins will know of course)
Obstacles:
1. Murder signups 2.Plot roster
Both require the identities to be given out.
A possible solution is to list all the murderers and victims with no distinction to who kills who orr... You be a good boy and roleplay as if you don't know. This is more about the characters figuring it out than us. ______________________________________ |

| This is way too complicated. Plus, Meddie's get visions anyway. ______________________________________ Astra inclinant... .: Coyotegrin :: Kestrelchirp :: Quailprowler : Waspswarm : Burnetpaw :. #9966ff : #cc3300 : #6699ff : #993366 : #ff9900 : #ff66cc WC T5 Warrior : WC T4 Warrior : TC T4 Warrior : SkC T2 Warrior (Bonus) : RC App "When there's nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire." |

| It's not a finished product, I'm just drafting. It might not even end up being about murder in the end. It was a plot that got traffic before and I want to see what I could make. ______________________________________ |

| I think it would be cool, personally. Just with some tweaking here and there, and obviously figuring out a way over the obstacles~ ______________________________________ ♛ Site Baby Sister ♛ | Briarthorn | Nightbird | Smudgepaw | | T5 SkC Warrior | T2 SkC Warrior | WC Apprentice | |

| Yeah, I've never seen any type of mystery except for the Sitewide plots and admins can selectively block topics and info from view and then Hawkstrike's little mystery thing(I think). Perhaps a way around the whole visions thing could be that some weren't killed by cats or weren't murdered. This'll muddy the waters a bit and leave the protagonists to figure out the cause of death, or deceit.
If I scrap the murder altogether, a missing cat could work or apprentice imagination goes too far. ______________________________________ |
