OOC: Yeah, by rolling a 10 it says in the whole hunting thing that it triggers a predator attack.

Smokepaw grinned at her fellow apprentice. "Nice catch!" she congratulated Sweetpaw, turning her own gaze towards the fast-flowing waters. She kept her stormy eyes fixed into the deep, and she saw a flash of scales. Quick as she could, the apprentice darted her paw into the water with unsheathed claws. Smokepaw speared the fish, her claw catching on a scale, and she just managed to drag it out from the water. She dropped it by the side of the river and placed a paw down onto its body so it couldn't flop back into the river. Smokepaw swiftly bit into it, ending it's life. She turned to Sweetpaw with a grin.

The vole sensed something and scampered off. Frowning, Vixenstep looked up. A thick scent was coming from behind her, followed by a low growl. Petrified, the ginger she-cat slowly turned around to see a fox with teeth bared. Vixenstep yelped and began to run towards Sweetpaw and Smokepaw. "Sweetpaw! Smokepaw! Look out, a fox!" once she got that message out, Vixenstep turned to face the fox, which was thin and hungry-looking. She reared onto her hind legs and slashed at the brute's face, tearing at its eyes. The fox howled in pain and retreated two steps.

Sweetpaw gasped in alarm, her fur fluffing up at the sight of the large creature. She never wanted to fight any large predator in her life, but she knew she had to help Vixenstep lest she be slaughtered. Gulping nervously, she pounded through the snow towards the fox and leaped up onto its back, digging her claws into its rancid-smelling fur.

Sweetpaw used Leap-and-hold, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Sweetpaw is immune for one turn.

Smokepaw's eyes widened in alarm. She dropped her prey immediately and ran forwards to help. She swiped at the fox's muzzle and chest area, adrenaline pumping through her as fox fur matted itself into her claws.

Ooc: The fox's weakest move would deplete all of Smokepaw's HP, so she would have to be knocked unconsious for the rest of the fight or run away. Is that OK?

OOC: Unconscious is fine, sure. I really don't mind

Ooc: Alrighty then!

Ic: Vixenstep watched as the two apprentices attacked the fox, who was hurt and extremely agitated. "Well done guys, but be careful! Foxes are no joke!" she ran towards the fox to attack it when it snapped at Smokepaw. It got her by the scruff, thrashing her around like a mouse before dropping her unconsious body to the frozen ground. It then turned to Sweetpaw, planning to strike. Just then, Vixenstep ran at full speed underneath the fox, kicked its underside and sent it sprawling into the freezing river. Without missing a beat, Vixenstep grabbed Smokepaw by the scruff, happy to see that she was breathing, and placed her into a bush that would conceal her from the predator. Then she turned to Sweetpaw. "Sweetpaw, be careful! I'll need all the help I can get. You take it from the right, I'll take the left, deal?"

Fox used Thrash on Smokepaw, dealing 20 damage and losing 20 stamina.
Vixenstep used Back Kick on Fox, dealing 10 damage and losing 15 stamina.

Smokepaw gazed triumphantly at the fox as the struck, but her expression quickly turned fearful as it took her by he scruff. She was shaken around... Dizzy and disorientated, Smokepaw dropped to the ground. She tried her hardest to stay awake, but soon fell unconscious. As her body was placed into a bush, a couple of thorns pricked her fur. Thy drew a small amount of blood, but Smokepaw was too deeply unconscious to even notice.

"Got it!" Sweetpaw yowled back. She dug her claws deeper into the fox's back before leaping off, getting ready to fight. She quickly took notice of Smokepaw's unconsciousness, but she knew she couldn't stop to help drag her away to safety. She would just have to defend her by helping Vixenstep fight the fox off.

Sweetpaw used Leap-and-hold, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Sweetpaw is no longer immune.

Vixenstep darted around the fox to its left side. The brute was howling in pain and looked just about ready to retreat. Just a little further... she leapt at the fox, but was caught in mid-air by its iron-like grip. She felt blood leave her body and stain the snow and water around her as the fox's teeth sank into her flesh. After a few seconds of being held aloft by the beast's jaws, she was dropped, as the fox had reverted its attention to Sweetpaw. Vixenstep dove under it again and raked at its white underbelly, setting loose a torrent of blood. The fox, dripping with blood, howled and began to back away. Vixenstep charged after it, successfully driving it off.

After she saw the fox's tail disappear from the territory, Vixenstep turned to Sweetpaw and gave her a quick wound check. "Alright, you don't have any significant wounds. Do you feel alright? Are you tired? she asked kindly, ignoring the fact that she herself was in immense pain for the sake of her Clanmates.

Sweetpaw panted softly, unscathed but a little worn out from her struggle to stay on top of the fox as it writhed. She shook her head, as if trying to shake out a burr from her ear. "Forget about me! What about you? And poor Smokepaw is unconscious! I'm going to carry the both of you back to camp if I need to, then I'll bring you right to Cloudstone!"

Vixenstep purred with amusement. "You're ever so kind, Sweetpaw, but I can carry Smokepaw back to camp. How about you help me wake her up first?" she padded over to the bush where she had hidden Smokepaw. The small she-cat carefully dragged her out, then checked her wounds. She cleaned the major ones and licked Smokepaw's face gently. "Smokepaw, can you hear me? Do you remember what happened?" she meowed to the unconsious apprentice.
