The Families Patrol, Take Two (Closed)

Curlyfeather woke up with a yawn, almost forgetting where she was for a moment. Pride swelled in her chest as she remembered. Her second day as a warrior, and she had just spent her first night in the warrior's den. Excitedly, she jumped to her paws and shook the dust out of her pelt. It just felt so right to be here, among cats her own age, instead of sleeping with cats almost half her age. As a feeling of contentment fell over her, she realized that a celebration was needed. It was right then and there that she decided to do exactly what Crowfur had suggested less than a moon ago. Try a patrol with the two of their families, like the one they had as apprentices. Gently, she prodded Cedarstorm, Lilacfall, Crowfur, and Rowantalon in the ribs one at a time. Once she was sure they were at least awake, she started talking.
"Hey, wanna go on a patrol? Like how we did a while ago?" she suggested.

Rowantalon stirred slowly, blinking the sleep out of his brilliant hazel eyes with a groan. "Curlyfeather... wh...?" He muttered, still half-asleep as he tried to register what the silver she-cat said. He flopped over and slowly got to his feet. "Oh, a patrol! Sure, sounds like fun!"
He barely had any time to spend with his older children nowadays, so he would never pass up an opportunity like this. His eldest, Crowfur, was much taller than he himself was, and Lilacfall was close behind. It was like he blinked and suddenly his kits had families of their own.

The spotted warrior stretched slowly before slipping out of his nest. "I'm going to grab a little something to eat before we leave," He mewed, his tail twitching.

Cedarstorm woke up lazily, leaning her body on Crofur who was by her side. She opened one eye, sleeping, and she saw the familiar silhouette of her sister. "Uh? Curly...feather?" The warrior mumbled while she yawned, waking up a bit more. The brown and white she-cat shook her head and nudged her mate gently so he would wake up too. Her ears flicked hearing the word "patrol" and then she jumped excitedly, standing up in just one second. "A patrol sounds great, Curlyfeather! Come one, my love,
wake up and join us too, please? I cannot wait for this family reunion." She purred delightedly as she touched gently the forehead of the dark-furred tom with one paw. Then, she turned her sight back to the grey she-cat and smiled brightly. "Do you want me to bring something to eat, sis?"

Crowfur opened his drowsy eyes when his body was prodded once by Curlyfeather, then again by his mate. The large tom got up and stretched with a grin. "I'm up, i'm up!" he chuckled. He nudged his mate gently and gave her an affectionate lick. He turned his head to his father and gave him a greeting nod. "Morning father. Time flies doesn't it? It feels like yesterday that we had been on our first family patrol!" he purred with amusement. The dark tom then looked at Curlyfeather with a friendly smile. "I would love to come with you all! It sounds like so much fun!" he exclaimed with glee.

Suddenly, a small black tabby rushed up to the warriors' den, his orange eyes glowing intensely in the dim lighting. "Hope you all are ready for me, because I'm joining you all as well!" Scorchpaw announced. "I wouldn't miss going on a patrol with my family for all the prey in the territory!" Though he was rude, ignorant, prideful, and showed a dislike to most she-cats, he still felt closely tied to his family and Clan.

Lilacfall murmured a sleepy greeting to her friend, though slightly annoyed that her sleep had been interrupted. "Curlyfeather? ...Oh. Yes, that sounds like it might be fun." She was about to add that she hadn't spent much time with her friend - or her family, now that she thought about it - recently when her younger brother came rushing into the warrior's den. "Scorchpaw, what are you doing here? You're going to wake up everyone else. Do you want a bunch of tired, irritated warriors to deal with?"

Owlpaw bounded behind his younger brother. He was a bit quieter but just having heard that his family was going on a patrol, he couldn't contain his excitement. "H-Hey, I'm going too!" he declared.

OOC: Late and short ;-;

"Well, fine. You two can join." Curlyfeather didn't know how she felt about the two apprentices joining. They were Rowantalon's sons, but they weren't from the patrol way back when. And she though of Scorchpaw as the misbehaving kit who had snuck out of camp. But it wasn't like she was going to refuse. Turning to Cedarstorm, she smiled. "I'll go get something for both of us." Padding over to the fresh-kill pile, she picked out two mice, dropping one at her sister's paws and devouring the other one herself. Looking at the receding food pile, she realized that even though this patrol was supposed to be for fun, they would really need to catch a few things.After finishing her breakfast, she turned to her assembled "family".
"Let's get a bite to eat and then head out."

OOC: No idea who's next, but I'm gonna bump/post this topic to try and keep it going...

Rowantalon nodded eagerly and grabbed a small mouse from the pile, wolfing it down in a matter of seconds. With a small smile, the short tom stood up and gestured towards the camp entrance. "I'll wait over there." He mewed, trotting towards the tangle of brambles.

(OOC: Gosh, it's gonna be difficult playing Scorchpaw as an apprentice now after everything, and a rude and stuck-up one to boot! XD But yeah, I didn't forget about this, I was just waiting for others to reply.)

Scorchpaw's tail swung up high and proud, rather rudely flicking Lilacfall's nose with the tip of his tail, and trotted over to his father.
