The Will of the Stars [Open, Leader Announcement]

Blizzardstar walked out from her den with Sageleaf following close behind. Almost without thinking twice she hopped onto the Highrock like she had done many times before. However, unlike usual she didn’t called for a clan meeting right away, looking down at the medicine cat and flicking her tail as a signal for her to follow “Stand at my side” The tone she used was neutral yet firm, letting Sageleaf know that this wasn’t up to discussion.

If StarClan themselves were asking for Sageleaf to join them as a Medicine Cat she wasn’t going to argue, but she wasn’t going to keep this in secret by allowing her to join without explaining the reason neither. She was going to omit most details of the former WindClan medicine’s cat story though, that was only between them at least for now. It wasn’t until Sageleaf was standing at her side on the Highrock that she gave the call “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Daisypaw heard her leader call a meeting and came out of the apprentice den to see what it was about. She went to the rock and sat down. She noticed her brother was there to and flicked her tail to show him where she was. She saw that her friend Spottedkit came out of the nusery with her family. this must be a big deal if the kits are here, she said to herself.

Spottedkit came out of the nursery and noticed her friend daisypaw. She was so excited to be out of the nusery and be at a meeting. She left her mom and siblings to sit next to Daisypaw without asking her mom. She sat down and started to groom herself getting ready for something awesome. "hi Daisypaw do you know what this meeting is about." the curious kit asked.

Daisypaw listened to her friend ask a question. "no Spottedkit I don't and be quiet it's about to start." she said still looking at blizzardstar.

OOC: since it's before gathering I made her still a kit :D

Ivypaw padded out of the apprentices den, Foxpaw by her side. "A clan-meeting? Let's go, we don't want to ever miss any of those."

Foxpaw followed Ivypaw towards the Highrock when Blizzardstar announced a meeting. "Yes, yes I know!" he replied to his friend, starting to pad more briskly to the rock that Blizzardstar sat on.

Ravenpaw and Creampaw padded over. Ravenpaw towered over most of his clan by now and was almost to his mothers height while Creampaw was smaller he was still bigger than most apprentices so they sat in the back of the clan.

Birdflight walked out of the warrior's den. She sat down next to a couple of apprentices. The warrior wanted to know what this was about.

Specklefang padded swiftly out of the warriors' den, her steps ridged as her bad shoulder twinged with pain. Specklefang's head tilted back to look at Blizzardstar, only to see Sageleaf next to her. Tail bushing her lips curled back as she stormily sat off to the side, away from her clan-mates as her claws dug into the dirt. Best to see what it was than react irrationally, but that didn't mean she was happy about it.

Spottedkit looked around and then saw her mom coming and she looked angry. Spottedkit got up and walked to where her mom sat. "are you ok mom?" she asked then started to lick her.

Daisypaw looked to where Spottedkit was staring and saw her friends mom specklefang. She saw spottedkit get up and walk over to her. She stood up to but didn't fallow her friend. Instead she went to foxpaw and sat down next to him. "hey foxpaw nice to see you again." she said while giving him a kind lick. "why aren't you with your mom trying to cheer her up?" she asked the tom.

Leopardclaw padded out of the warrior's den and glanced curiously up at the Highrock, where Blizzardstar stood with...Sageleaf?  With a confused tilt of his head, the golden spotted deputy sat down near the very front of the crowd, and waited for the explanation that was sure to come soon enough.  He couldn't help but wonder; what is she doing here, and on top of the leader's place no less?  Why wasn't I briefed about this?  Well...maybe this just happened suddenly...whatever this is...

Foxpaw glanced at the black and white she-cat. "Huh? Oh.. I don't know. Should I go?""

OOC: Do you think that would be fine, Grey? XD He don have too.

Shadowleaf padded out of the warrior's den and over to Leopardclaw giving the deputy a confused expression before sitting down. "That's the Windclan healer right?" She asked the deputy, some of the old tribe terms still sticking with her. She was curious as to why she was here but she assumed Blizzardstar was about to tell them.

IC: Specklefang glowered down at her daughter, her question making her ears flick back with irritation. "I'm fine. Just pay attention to the meeting." She didn't know what made her need to shun her kits, she really didn't, but she did know that the recent stressors that have been occurring before and after they had been born were a help to the cause.

Spottedkit got scared when her mom glowered at her so she ran off to Daisypaw. She found her with her spottedkits brother foxpaw and went to sit down. She was too scared to talk.

Daisypaw noticed that Spottedkit joined them and noticed she was frightened of something. Then she looked at specklefang and saw she was glowering at the windclan medicine cat standing next to the leader.

Sageleaf padded out into the clearing after Blizzardstar. Her heart thudded and the blood roared through her ears. Not even a few sunrises earlier, the young she-cat's entire world was different. She had been born with a sworn loyalty to protect Windclan, and dreams of becoming one of their finest warriors. Even in the less than appealing events that lead her to become a medicine cat, her heart had not changed. But now, she stood in front of an enemy clan. Or rather, what had been an enemy clan. Now, she was to be named their medicine cat. A knot twisted in her stomach as she looked over the clearing. It would soon be flooded with Thunderclan warrior who would be learning of her new position here. Starclan had ordained it, but that did not reassure the welcoming presence of any cats.

The lithe grey and white she-cat glanced up to see Blizzardstar beckoning her onto the rock where the leader now stood. Attempting to swallow her nerves, she leaped up to join her, hindlegs scrabbling on the stone before she steadied herself. She was grateful for the Thunderclan leader's grace and acceptance. Even if they had disagreed in their prior meeting, Sageleaf had no doubt that it would be an honor and pleasure to serve at the other she-cat's side. As soon as the call went out, cats began to gather. It reminded her of how Ashstar had done the same countless times over her life time. However, Windclan warriors did not gather here. Sageleaf looked over the assembling cats. Some she recognized from gatherings, others she did not know at all. It would take sometime before she mastered all the names, but she was determined to meet all of the cats she would be healing.

Her green stare finally landed on a massive warrior she-cat that sat off to the side of the crowd. Specklefang. She just barely held in the hiss that threatened to break out of her throat. That was the cat who had maimed another clanmate. How was she still here? Did the other cats know the true origins of Blazingwing's injury? There were not answers as she found herself remembering the event that occurred not so very long ago. The irony of Starclan sending her to the very clan she had sworn not to extend a paw to was lost on her. As the medicine cat waited for Blizzardstar to speak, her tail flickered softly. There were so many thing she wanted to know or say, but none of that mattered in the moment. She was about to become the medicine cat of Thunderclan.

At the sound of nearby pawsteps, Leopardclaw turned and nodded to Shadowleaf, greeting her while also answering the former Tribe she-cat's question.  "Yes, that's Sageleaf."  He didn't obviously correct her terminology - mostly because he didn't really mind - but he used the usual name as he went on.  "It's odd that a medicine cat would get this kind of introduction from a rival clan...usually they just come to speak with the other medicine cats, maybe trade herbs, and then leave without much of a fuss..."  For a moment he fell silent, deep in thought; I wonder if she's received a prophecy?  To have to tell the other clans about it though would mean that it's probably something dangerous...haven't we had enough action lately?  With a slight huff, Leopardclaw shifted into a more comfortable position and meowed; "I guess we'll find out soon enough."

Foxpaw gave his mother a brief nod, then looked back up at the ThunderClan leader. Specklefang never seemed to show that much interest in him and his litter mates, Foxpaw eventually got use to it.
