Here we are again...

The young warrior walked in front of the border patrol, looking at the territory around him. The sound of the water falling caused in him a big sensation of danger since his last battle there, when he almost lost the cat that he loved. His green eyes gazed back, searching for the calico she-cat before turning his gaze to the place of the Gorge. Flicking his tail, nervously, Jaystream walked closer, just to do his duty of checking the borders. "Cinderpaw, please stay close to me as we check the borders. I don't like this place at all... Swanpaw, Silverpaw, be careful, please." He said, looking to the apprentices that were coming with him and Thistleblaze. The other warrior had more experience than him so he didn't even dare to give her an instruction because she should be the leader of the patrol.

The fiery apprentice looked at the Gorge with narrowed eyes. She was so bored of these dumb border patrols... nothing interesting happened and she always had to follow a warrior instead of just doing it by herself. Silverpaw only wanted to become a warrior as fast as she could so finally the she-cat would be able to have more independence. "Whatever..." She growled to the young warrior, annoyed and bored.

However, her blue and yellow eyes suddenly noticed a quick movement next to the Windclan territory. Since her mother was there, the apprentice didn't want to disappoint her at all so she didn't hesitate to run close to the place where he saw that mouse and crouch down, ready to track the prey. Finally, she was getting some fun! Silverpaw leaped in the right moment when the mouse was about to run away from some bushes to the Windclan territory and her fangs soon grabbed it by the scruff, killing it immediately. She was going to go back to the patrol when a nasty smell reached her nose... Windclan cats.

Thistleblaze was walking along with the patrol silently, her amber eyes keeping a silent watch on the apprentices and mostly her daughter while Jaystream voice their common concerns. Her daughter was very much like her in the fiery spirit department. Her eyes watched as Silverpaw spotted and caught some prey. It was right next to the border but it was still on their territory so it should have been fine. Though a certain scent made her fur stand on end. Windclan.. Ugh how she hated her birth clan. "We have company.." She warned her patrol.

The older apprentice didn't like this at all. The sound of water beating against the rocks only fueled her fear and anxiety as they padded along. Her ears were back as visions of the battle a few moons ago flashed across her eyes. Even her scars along her back were hurting her, as if it knew they were close to where it happened. Her eyes darted to and fro expecting something bad to happen at any moment. At Jaystream's voice she glanced up to him fear in her gaze as she nodded stepping closer to him, she didn't need to be told twice. But she didn't say a word as they padded along her tail brushing up against Jaystream's pelt, just to make sure he was there.

Cloverpaw had an exciting bounce to his pawsteps as he padded along with the patrol. He always loved border patrols, sure they aren't as fun as hunting patrols but they can be exciting in their own ways he thought! He had a bright smile on his face as he looked behind him making sure he wasn't going to far ahead. But that smile turned to confusion as he smelled...Riverclan cats! He was confused but even more excited. Maybe he will see Swanpaw in that patrol! The nice she that was always kind and gentle..she always seemed distant though. He wished he knew her better.

Swanpaw walked along with the border patrol, nodding to Jaystream when he told them to be careful. "It's very dangerous here, right?" She'd only been anywhere near the gorge once before - escorting Cloverpaw home when they first met, back to the WindClan border. She sincerely hoped she didn't run into him. What if something happened? In front of all these other cats... She shook her head. It wasn't likely, after all, and if she seemed too quiet or upset she might make someone suspicious. And if a fight broke out in such a dangerous place... She would fear for everyone on both sides.

On the other side Newtslip took the lead of patrol with one more warrior and bunch of apprentices. She was completely calm and self confident at the begging, after all this was one of many patrols that she had leaded from gaining warrior rank, altough she was still young warrior. Fact that Swiftstep is next to her was making her even more calmer, her lover was really a good companion at patrolling.
But after a couple of minutes and when patrol came closer to WindClan border Newtslip shoke because of very known scent. Fishy and wet scent! RiverClan. She growled warily and mewed tensely: "Be careful! RiverClan patrol is somewhere near and I do not want to create a fight right now. We are probably weaker at the moment." She lifted up her tail as a sign that clanmates should follow her and header forward. Ashstar and Brindlewhisker would rip her head if she would lead patrol back without checking. It was clan things after all and she was trained for doing this. Every step that they had took the scent was bigger and soon she saw some of the RiverClan fat cats. Her thin body was looking much worse than theirs fat bellies full of fish. "Swiftstep, come next to me. Apprentice stay at the back if the fight happen and deal only with your age." She hissed at RiverClaners.

Hollowpaw bristled as Newtslip gave the orders. She was hardly older than him. Reluctantly he slipped to the back, still tall and seeing over the she-cat. His fur bristled as he eyed the RiverClan patrol.

The reluctant Foxpaw trailed at the back of the patrol. She hated border patrols- spray this, spray that, don't go there, stay here...they were just so boring. Who cares if a rock had a faint scent of RiverClan, it's just a rock. It's not like an extra fox-length of territory is going to help the Clan in any way. The russet-furred apprentice let out a sigh, praying for something exciting to happen. Although, what she counted as "exciting" most likely translated into "worrying" to any other normal cat.

Thankfully, her prayers were answered. As the patrol neared WindClan's border with RiverClan in the gorge they were submerged by the fishy stench of the water-obsessed cats. Foxpaw's sharp ears pricked up and her pale eyes widened, immediately searching for something that she could over-react to. And that something was a RiverClan apprentice stepping over the border. Well, it didn't really step over the border, but it did in Foxpaw's mind.

"Hey, I saw that!" The fiery tempered apprentice yelled, dismissing everything Newtslip had rightfully said. Foxpaw stormed to the front of the patrol, pushing past the warriors at the front. "You just trespassed into WindClan territory and stole our prey." She spat, narrowing her olive eyes to thin slits. "I demand you give us that mouse, it is rightfully ours." Her black-tipped tail lashed at her haunches, its fur standing on end, and her claws were already unsheathed. Foxpaw itched for a fight, her paws desperate to pummel the "trespassing" apprentice's oily pelt.

Swiftstep let out a frustrated growl when he saw Riverclanners at on the other side of the border. His fur bristled anxiously when Foxpaw demanded they return the prey one of the apprentices hunted. "Foxpaw! I know you're itching to get it back but I suggest for you not to be to harsh. We can't be picking fights." the warrior quietly hissed to the apprentice beside him. He knew deep down that she wasn't going to let this go.

The silver tabby she-cat glanced with fiercely eyes to the Windclan cats that were approaching her. She stepped back, hissing as she grabbed HER prey with her. Most of them didn't seem to want a fight and she understood why... Windclan was weaker than Riverclan. All the clans knew that. Silverpaw was hoping that their cowardy would leave her and her clanmates alone but one apprentice caught her attention and anger. Throwing the prey to the Riverclan territory behind her, the Riverclan she-cat snarled at the Windclan cat, unsheathing her claws like she did. "Oh really, darling?" She said, mocking at her. "I think that your medicine cat isn't doing a great job because you're obviously blind. That mouse was in our territory! So don't you dare to call me a thief because I'm not, you mouse-brained liar!" Hissing and being controlled by her impulses, the she-cat jumped toward the "trespasser" that was in her territory and pinned her down, but not daring to slash her skin because the Riverclan apprentice only wanted to teach her a lesson about her superiority. "You don't want to mess with me, you hear me!"

Silverpaw used Leap-and-hold on Foxpaw, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina. Foxpaw is stunned for two turns.

The blue tabby warrior watched with surprise the quite large patrol that was approaching them. They were obviously from Windclan but they didn't want to fight... until the Windclan apprentice acted aggressively toward his niece. Silverpaw was not a soft she-cat and she was short-tempered, so the young warrior expected what she did before she could even jump. Jaystream stepped forward after he gave a lovingly nuzzled to the calico she-cat and, even if he disagreed what Silverpaw did, he couldn't stand that one of them would attack her. After all, she was right about that prey she caught. It was from Riverclan. His green eyes glanced back at Cinderpaw one last time before focusing again on the patrol. His narrowed eyes showed his determination to stand there if a fight started. He would not let them win... or hurt the cat she loved again. "Silverpaw is right and you know it. The prey is ours so step away from the border and there will be no more fight here." He said, looking from the corner of his eyes to the gray and white apprentice that already attacked the Windclan apprentice.

Cinderpaw stepped back at the insults going left and right, sure she agreed with her group. But to fight over one piece of prey? Even if leaf bare is coming up..she doesn't want what happened last time happen again. But at the thought of saying her thoughts her throat closed up. How could she stand against warriors who have way more experience then her? And after how Silverpaw was just treated she glanced up to Jaystream to find..he wanted a piece of that apprentice to. Her ears went back as she was nuzzled by Jaystream her breath slowly quickening. She doesn't want any fighting..nothing good comes from fighting. The calico apprentice stood there frozen as Jaystream challenged the apprentice. No..not Jay..She shut her watery eyes visions of her fight that caused her her scars came back..her coma. Jay..can't go through that. If anybody attacked Jaystream though, she would attack them in an instant wanting to defend him.

Hollowpaw's eyes narrowed. The RiverClan apprentice across from him looked nervous. The tall apprentice backed up, clearly larger than the other apprentice. The warrior silently was across to the RiverClan apprentice (Cinderpaw) in a heartbeat, launching himself onto her back. With a yowl, he latched his teeth onto the scruff of his opponent.

Hollowpaw used Run and Tackle for -10 SP and -9 HP to Cinderpaw.

Thistleblaze let out a growl as they dared to accuse her daughter of taking prey that was clearly on Riverclan land. The gray tabby she-cat eyed the warriors, before deciding to make a move on one of them first so they couldn't take out their apprentices, knowing Windclan liked to use warriors to fight apprentices.

Foxpaw emitted a blood-curling yowl as the RiverClan apprentice landed on her back, forcing her into the stony ground. "Fish-breath." The slender she-cat spat, writhing underneath Silverpaw.

Cinderpaw actually has 14 HP, since Leap-and-hold only deals 6 damage when it is used by apprentices.

The arrogant she-cat pressed, even more, the body of the she-cat, grinning mischievously. When she noticed that the two patrols were starting a fight after what she did, the silver tabby she-cat put a paw over the head, to show how greater she was even when Foxpaw called her fish-breath. "Well, this fish-breath is stronger and is beating you, honey. You can't defeat me." She hissed with narrowed eyes.

Even trying to find a peaceful solution everyone just started to fight without trying to make up this mess. The young warrior looked for a second to find Thistleblaze's help but she also was now heading toward one of the Windclan warriors. Jaystream was terrified because of the battle repeating again and again that he didn't even saw the Windclan apprentice leaving its patrol to attack the love of his life until it was too late. He saw how the young apprentice was over her, hurting her and he couldn't stand that. But... if he attacked the apprentice... she could hurt Cinderpaw since she was so close. So his eyes glanced to his only option to stop this. Running toward Swifstep, the tall Riverclan warrior tackled him with the weight of his body. He hissed angrily because they were the ones that were hurting Cinderpaw. "Leave now! I tried to talk to all of you but you couldn't control your own apprentices. Now you'll pay because of having the courage to step here and attack Cinderpaw!"

Jaystream used Run-and-Tackle on Swifstep, dealing 9+3 damage and costing 10 stamina.
