Dusk and Foxes

Fox that hunts in the Night woke up early and yawned, stretching his long paws to start a new day. Since he started his training as a warrior with Rippedsky as his mentor, the prey-hunter had been trying his best each so he could become soon a Skyclan warrior. His eyes looked around to the cats around him and his gaze suddenly stopped in a dusky she-cat. Standing up quietly, the tom approached his new friend and greeted her, flicking his tail. "Good morning, Duskflower. I'm going to go on a hunting patrol. Do you want to come with me?" He asked, seriously as he was but he actually hoped that the Skyclan warrior would accept his offering. Since the day that they spent together in the tall branches of the tree, Fox discovered that he enjoyed her company like he usually did around Cloverleaf. It was similar but still, it was way more different from what he felt with his former mate.

Duskflower had been relaxing for a moment in camp her thoughts went to when she had last had been out with Fox and almost as if she had called him over he cane over to her and she offered a small smile and stood slowly "sure I would love to join you Fox"She newed a happy tone to her voice.

"Awesome. Let's go. I think I found a nice place to hunt some days ago." He said, feeling how his heart bumped when she smiled to him. The tom left the den, flicking his tail as a signal that she should follow him. Without saying too much, the prey-hunter left the camp with the Skyclan warrior by his side. The sun was warming his spotted fur as he walked, feeling the peace that surrounded him each time he went into the woods of Skyclan. However, this time he couldn't keep the focus on the beauty of the territory but in the dusky she-cat that was his friend. As they approached the Halfstone, Fox couldn't stop glancing from the corner of his eyes to Duskflower, a bit concerned that she would stay close to him.

When his eyes finally looked at the Halfstone, he spoke to the she-cat. "The other day a lot of prey was on those two rocks but I had my paws full so I didn't bring anything to the camp. Now I can finally hunt here... with you again." He said those last words with a soft tone that surprise him. Why was he being so kind and gentle? He wasn't his usual self. He didn't think too much about, the prey-hunter walked a few steps before crouching when he smelled the scent of a rabbit near. Walking slowly towards the little that was hiding behind some bushes next to the Halfstone, Fox jumped quickly and silent, catching the big animal with a strong bite. He returned with the rabbit on his jaws and left it close to Duskflower. "We should gather the prey we hunt here, close, so we can come back later for it after we're done. What do you say?"

Duskflower had followed after him quietly smiling only a tiny bit that didn't seem unusual"well it is nice here and your right I can tell there is prey almost everywhere"she mewed flicking her dusky brown tail before she smiled some."sounds like a plan to me"She mewed before she caught the scent of a squirrel and followed it spotting the brown furred bushy tail creature she leapt for it. She had caught it easily and returned to him setting the busy tailed rodent next to the rabbit he caught.

The spotted tom watched how the young she-cat caught easily the squirrel with a swift move. He respected her as a warrior but he also liked her because of her kindness and gentle personality. She always was kind toward him, despite his origins out the clan, just like his former mate did in the past.

Following the scent of a new prey, the prey-hunter left the fresh-kill spot to walk a little further, walking quietly to the rocks. His eyes gazed one of those rodents with bushy tails. With serious eyes, the bengal cat approached the little animal slowly and leaped to it, with his claws unsheathed. The little animal didn't hear the tom and it was too late when his paws reached its back. Fox returned to the place where the prey was being gathered and left the prey in front of his paws. "Just a few more and it will be enough, don't you think?"

OCC: Shall we wait for a 10 to a predator encounter or just say that the fox appeared?

Duskflower blinked and smiled some her ear flicked quietly before she gave a small nod a gentle smile on her maw before she flicked an ear hearing a bird nearby. As well as caught the scent so she followed it with quiet and process steps. She spotted the colorful feather bird and crouched before she leapt. She landed on the bird killing it cleanly before bringing it over to the fresh kill they had gathered.

Ooc we can just say that the fox appeared.

This time, after she nodded to his question, Fox didn't look how she hunted but he just went hunting by himself. He walked away from the dusky she-cat, following a scent he never smelled before. Walking slowly, he found out some footprints much larger than cat's paws. Narrowing his eyes concerned, the prey-hunter decided to turn back from where he came trying to search for Duskflower but what he saw left him paralyzed for a second. A huge fox was approaching the she-cat hiding behind some bushes, ready to attack her. This was the first time he saw the predator of his name so he was stunned. However, he knew the dangers of a fox because of the stories that he heard in the mountains.

"Duskflower! Watch out!"Hissing, the prey-hunter ran toward the predator and jumped over him, digging his claws into its flesh as he bit it hard. The predator lost the focus on the dusky she-cat and yowled in pain as he tried to push away the tom from his back.

Fox used Leap-and-hold on the fox, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 SP. Fox is stunned for two turns.

Duskflower had been focused on her next peice of prey not noticing the fox scent right away until she heard Fox and she whirled around seeing the predator. She fluffed her fur out in surprise at first before a growl escaped her. She reared up then on her hind paws and swatted at the fox.

Duskflower used rear up and slash dealing 11 damage and losing 15 sp

The orange predator fought against the cat that was over him as he felt the pain in his legs when the other she-cat slashed its skin. The tom cut the flesh of its back, feeling how the blood started painting his paws and belly with red. Holding tighter, Fox kept his attack on the top of the predator hoping to keep it distracted from the Skyclan warrior.

Fox keeps using Leap-and-hold on the fox, dealing 6 damage. Fox is stunned for one turn.

The dusky she cat took every opportunity that she could while he had the fox distracted. She reared up again and with both paws unsheathed she swooped with both paws at its face or tried to at least. She reached what she could feeling her claws swipe fur. Landing back down on four paws pelt still bristling she put a bit of space between her and the fox.
