Big News (Closed)

Leafstorm's ears twitched nervously as he padded through camp, his fluffy tail waving behind him. Today he'd break the news to Sunpaw, and although he knew her reaction wouldn't be good, perhaps this could change her mind about Specklefang.

First he needed to find Specklefang.
He swung his head around, spying the warrior inspecting the camp's walls for holes or gaps. There never was a break with Specklefang. He'd need to talk to her about that later.
Leafstorm trotted towards her, purring. "Hey, Specklefang." He mewed lightly. "Whacha' doing?"

Specklefangs paws flitted as she pushed sticks into the camp wall as she patched the hole, the flimsy space hardening with her mend work. Inspecting the area quickly she moved to seek out other spots, once the wall was done she'd move to the dens. Quickly spotting a spot in the wall that needed more support she brushed her bundle of sticks towards her with her tail, her ears rotating to listen and respond to Leafstorm. "Patching the walls, I wanted to get to it while the branches were still strong and before leaf-bare came. I'm going to do the dens once I'm done here." Since Leafstorm admitted his love to her, and her in turn nothing much had changed.

Sure they cuddled more and shared a nest now, and on the occasion, they'd share tongues and Leafstorm would watch her kids but that'd be about all that was different. "You want something?" She asked plainly, it'd be expected that'd she give her mate some sort of pet name like Honey suckle, or handsome. She continued her work, waiting for Leafstorm to grow a back bone.

Leafstorm sighed."Specklefang, we've gotta tell Sunpaw. We've gotta tell your kits, and Lionspark."

He adored Specklefang's children, and looked up to Lionspark a great deal. Bramblefrost, on the other paw, was an entirely different story.
jJst the thought of the tom made Leafstorm's nose wrinkle in disgust. Rejecting his mate- everyone knew he hated Lionspark, except for the poor she-cat herself -Disowning his only daughter...
But that was a different matter.

He turned his attention back to Specklefang. "After that we should go hunting." He mewed.
That was a lie, of course. All he wanted was to spend some time with her, and just be. No planning. No jobs to do. Just being together.
But she hardly had any time to do anything other than work.
