Thrill vs. Chill, Patrol Style (For Dippy and Lux)

Two friends was a good amount. Reedpaw had been cool before the mist, and afterwards seemed even better. And Sharppaw was fun. She understood him, and wasn't a mouse-heart like everyone else in the clan. Both of them were the two cats he wanted to hang out with most right now. So right now, before the sun had risen from the horizon, he decided to wake them up. And in an instant he had already thought of the perfect way to do that. It was a test of sorts, and also would make him snort uncontrollably in laughter. One of them would probably be terrified, and the other would probably be noble. And he was pretty sure he knew which one would do what. Standing up, he silently padded over to each of them, whispering something in both of their ears one at a time. This would be quite the site.
"Get up! RiverClan is attacking!" That was all that he said, faking urgency in his voice.

Sharppaw scrambled to her feet, hitting her head on the roof of the apprentice den. "A fight?" She mewed excitedly, clumsily scrabbling her way to the entrance and stepping on a few unlucky cats.
"Where? Let's go before all the good cats are taken!"

Reedpaw had been enjoying his back to the camp. He couldn't be happier after spending so many nights without his whole family and friends. Even if he had some nightmares during the night, the honey-colored tom couldn't ask for a better place to be and he felt comfortable sleeping on his moss bed again.
However, the peace of the night was interrupted by the scream of a familiar voice. Jumping as high as Sharppaw did, the apprentice opened his eyes as wide as he could, letting his claws get out of his paws. He looked around, surprised, scared and worried about that sudden news since he had a fight against Riverclan apprentices in the past,  but as soon as he saw the brownish tom that he called "friend" the tom relaxed, sighing exhausted. He was sure that this was one of his so called pranks that he enjoyed to do to him so he could have some fun.
"Uf... it seems that you haven't changed at all after I left, Shrewpaw." He said, frowning his face but also showing a friendly and relieve face. After he had to live in that horrible cave, Reedpaw honestly missed this kind of things he did with Shrewpaw and he was more tolerant to his silly and annoying pranks.

Snotring in amusement at both of his friend's initial reactions, Shrewpaw realized his guess had been a little off. Yes, they had both jumped with startled expressions and seemed ready to kill, but what they did after was different. While Sharppaw had taken the bait and seemed excited to leap into battle with a powerful enemy, Reedpaw had found out th trick almost right away. He guessed that his friend had gotten smarter since last time. Maybe that time being captured by the mist had been good for him. Half purring half snorting, he stepped out of the den and looked over the camp, which unfortunately was peaceful and not in a battle.
"Yeah, sorry, there is no battle. I couldn't resist that though. You should have how wide your eyes were, though!" he explained, addreessing both of his friends. It was nice to be hanging out with both of them, even if they weren't actually doing something fun. "But really, would either of you like to go hunting or border patroling? But I myself am hungry right now, so I'm gonna get a squirrel first." Quickly, he trotted over to the fresh-kill pile and picked out a plumo squirrel, eating it as he waited for his friends to answer.

Sharppaw huffed and sat down, grooming her fur fluffy fur to hide her embarrassment. "I didn't fall for that. I was just trying to make things more exciting." She mewed. Despite her annoyance, a smile was growing on her face.

She stood up again, her mint-green eyes shining. "C'mon Reedpaw, let's go get a mouse or something." She chirped, padding towards the Fresh-Kill Pile eagerly.
Although her fluffy fur made her appear larger than average, she was actually quite normal in build and height.
Because of that she tended to avoid taller apprentices. So far, her only friends were Boarpaw, Shrewpaw and Reedpaw. She wasn't exactly a social butterfly.

Even though Shrewpaw and Boarpaw were bigger than Sharppaw, she didn't really mind them. They had so much in common, it would be a shame to end their friendship over something like size.

The spotted apprentice flicked her ears, already listening for prey.
"Leopardclaw taught me a few things about hunting." She bragged, picking out a fat mouse and settling down.
"He says I'm one of the best hunters in the apprentice den already."
That last bit was a lie, of course, but they didn't need to know that.

OOC: That's a piece of crap but i'm stressed so ugh.

The honey colored tom smiled to his friends, nodding to the hurried words of Shrewpaw before he ran away to get something to eat. He chuckled, glad to see that anything had changed at all after he left the clan for such a long time.
His eyes blinked when the she-cat called his name to invite him to join her in the morning eating. "Yeah! Let's go join Shrewpaw!" The apprentice followed Sharppaw to the fresh-kill pile and quickly chose a bird that was quiet enough to fill his stomach and laid down next to the she-cat. He took one bite before he heard the name of the deputy. Gulping the piece of meat as fast as he could, Reedpaw eyes shone as his tail started flicking excitedly. "If my dad says so then it must be true! I can't wait to see your hunting skills, Sharppaw! What about you, Shrewpaw?" He purred, looking at first at the she-cat and then to the brownish tom.

"You definitely fell for that, don't lie," Shrewpaw purred teasingly. Spitting out squirrel fur from between his teeth, he listened to the rest of what his friends had to say.  He had never seen Sharppaw hunt before, but he had seen her fight, so she must have a bit of skill, as hunting was basically fighting tiny creatures. Though he doubted that she was telling the truth about Leopardclaw's praise, he still assumed that she was an amazing hunter. He narrowed his eyes when Reedpaw automatically believed her, thinking that his friend was usually a lot smarter than that. But he did admire the deputy just as much as these two did, but he didn't get all dumb at his name.
"Did he really say that?" he asked, snorting slightly. "You two are lucky. You get Leopardclaw as a father, and you get him as a mentor." Sighing slightly, he got up and shook the dirt out of his fur. His thick fur was always gathering dust, and that combined with the dark color made hot days sweltering. But he ignored that, as he did so many other things. "Though I bet you are a good hunter, Sharppaw, you must have been lying. Because I am an apprentice too, and there is no better hunter than me." Smirking slightly, he dropped the bone of his squirrel in the middle of the clearing and trotted to the exit. "C'mon! Let's go!"

Sharppaw's satisfied smirk quickly became a frown and she huffed indignantly. "Of course he said it." She mewed in a condescending tone. "You're just jealous, that's all. And besides, you've got Maplecloud as a mentor, right? Leafstorm told me that she was his old mentor, so she must be pretty good."
She leapt after him, turning back to Reedpaw with a grin. "C'mon, or all the prey will be gone!"

Reedpaw smiled back to the she-cat and stood up, running to the entrance of the camp as fast as a rabbit. Because he was slightly taller than Shrewpaw, he was able to pass him, leaving him behind. With a grin of satisfaction, he looked back, grinning triunfally. "Come on guys! We have to be fast if we want to catch a lot prey, like Sharppaw said! He said before turning back his attention to the front.

The honey colored tom only stopped when his nose caught the scent of a squirrel. The apprentice started walking slowly and crouched when he saw the fluffy tail of the rodent. Smiling, he moved silent and jumped, with his claws unsheathed. The squirrel tried to run but the tom quickly bit its neck and the animal died immediately. He picked up the rodent, showing it to his friends. "Now is your turn. Let's see how much we have improved."

"Yeah right, and hedgehogs fly. And Maplecloud is definitely a better mentor than Leopardclaw, yes yes," he teased sarcastically as he trotted into the territory. Suddenly, he felt a small breeze ruffle his fur, created by Reedpaw sprinting past him. Smirking, he took off after him into the forest, though not nearly as fast. Not only was the other tom bigger than him, but his family had long legs, allowing him to leave the rest of them in his dust. The jibe just encouraged the dark brown apprentice to run faster, and he ended up running a little bit more after the golden apprentice stopped. 
"Nice catch, but that almost got away. I bet I have improved just as much if not more than you," he replied back, narrowing his eyes as he scented the air for prey. Before long he had caught the smell of a small rodent. Following it, he realized that the animal he would be hunting was his namesake, a shrew. That would be a cool catch. He slid silently into a crouch and stepped forward on silent paws, making sure not to make a single sound to alert the creature. However, he wasn't the only one hunting that day. Right as he pounced for the shrew, an eagle swooped down and picked up the rodent in its talons. Shrewpaw brushed past its wing, alerting it of his presence. Suddenly the huge bird's eyes were on him, finding its new prey. Thinking fast, he dove at the bird's stomach, tearing its chest feathers with his claws. He didn't even think to run away.

Shrewpaw used Belly Rake on Eagle, dealing 7 damage and costing 10 stamina

Sharppaw snarled and threw herself on the eagle's back, pinning it down with her back legs while tearing at it's wings and neck with her claws. "Reedpaw, get back!" She screeched.


Sharppaw used Leap-And-Hold, dealing 6 damage and using 10 SP. The eagle is stunned for 1 turn.
