Orchidkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardstar leaped onto the Highrock, ready for another ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Orchidkit was ushered out by her mother granted her mothee' s gaze held no emotion it had what seemed like a broken look. She wasn't sure why and she knew better to not ask. Her silver white spotted fur was sleek and clean as she sat down.

Lichenfang led her daughter out but she hadn't much been the same since her older kits disappearances. It broke the queen more than she wanted to admit. She curled her tail tightly around her as she sat down.

Cinderfrost came from the warriors den quietly

Blizzardstar looked down at the cats gathering under the Highrock, her eyes quickly being clouded by sadness when she spotted Lichenfang's broken spirit reflected on her expression. She had been told about what happened to her kits and it filled the white leader with a mix of worry, sadness and rage. She was going to make her very best to bring back both cats alive and well, just as well as the rest of her missing clanmates, even if she had to put her 9 lives on the line to comply with that promise “Orchidkit, please, step forward”.

Lichenfang watched quietly trying to muster as much pride an happiness to her broken spirited self.

Orchidkit blinked glancing back to her mother worriedly before she stood slowly and made her way over looking up at Blizzardstar.

Blizzardstar took a deep breath, trying to contain the feelings that were fighting inside her chest before talking again “Orchidkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Orchidpaw” She took a quick glance at the warriors gathered before picking one for the new apprentice “Your mentor will be Spottedbear. I hope she passes down all she knows on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, dismissing the clan.

Orchidpaw smiled eagerly silvery ears pricked.

The black and white shecat lifted her head as her name was called to be a mentor. Her eyes flicked around the clearing before she rose to her paws and padded forward. Her eyes landed on the new apprentice and she smiled brightly. Nerves playing up and down her spine. She dropped her head and touched noses with the apprentice. Orchidpaw. "We'll start training first thing tomorrow." She mewed.
