Sootpaw thought about the young warrior. Will he be a good mentor? | Nrctarleap had come out into the clearing when he heard Ashstar call a meeting. When he heard it was an apprentice ceremony, he only half listened. Sure, they were important and all, but it was very unlikely that he would be a mentor anytime soon. It turned out that he was wrong. When he heard his name said, the young warrior's jaw dropped. Him, a mentor? He had practically just become a warrior, there were definitely more capable cats. But if Ashstar chose him, she must think that he was ready. He stepped up to Sootpaw and touched noses with the new apprentice.
