Get Back Here, You Mousebrain!

Gustpuddle led her patrol of two apprentices through the territories, barely noticing that the pair were starting to lag behind her as they went along the Thunderpath one last time before they went back to camp. "You two better catch up to me, wouldn't want an oldie beatin' you back to camp would'ya?" She meowed comedically, chuckling a little to the thought of her being an 'oldie', although compared to these young apprentices, she was. Starclan, it wouldn't be long before she was stuck in the elders den with grumpy old Cedarfur!

OOC: Shadowclanners can go ahead and post, and after a round or two of posting, they can meet up Also, we WILL be using posting order, so please mind that!

Olivepaw padded out into their marshy territory with the company her two denmates, Rowanpaw and Gingerpaw. Glancing behind her at the two toms she smiled mischeviously, "Lets go see if those rabbit-chasers have crossed the border!" She said, an excited glint in her green eyes as she trotted off confidently in the direction of the Thunderpath. She didn't expect to find anything, but she silently hoped they did. She needed some drama in her boring life.

Rowanpaw grinned, shaking his head. He was far older than the two apprentices, but he could still relate to the carefree feeling of being a new apprentice very old much sentimental. "I'll beat you there!" He called, bounding forward and looking over his shoulder with a grin.

Gingerpaw snorted at Olivepaw and Rowanpaw's antics. While Rowanpaw was an older apprentice- almost a warrior!- the leader's daughter had just become an apprentice, and so he was slightly superior to her. However, he had found the other ShadowClan apprentices to be good friends. With a wry grin, the ginger tabby tom raced after his companions, catching up to them easily, white paws covering ground easily. The marshy soil grew more peaty as they neared the WindClan border. Gazing over the Thunderpath with his bright green eyes, the apprentice recalled his first time seeing the hard black material- with his mentor, Swiftclaw. He was slightly less in awe of it now, but it was definitely a sight. His life hadn't been nearly exciting enough lately, despite all the less-wondrous-wonders that apprenticeship brought to his life. He almost hoped those WindClan rats at the border would do something stupid.

Laurelpaw trotted behind her aunt Gustpuddle, excitement reading clearly in her vivid eyes. She loved going on patrols, it always seemed like there was something new to explore and experience each time, no matter where they went. Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, the wonderful scents of the new-leaf moor flooded her nose, filling her heart with peace and pride. Nothing is better than the scent of heather and gorse blossoms......uhg! Suddenly the scent of the ShadowClan markers overwhelmed her senses, and the speckled white she-cat opened her eyes. Scowling crossly at the dirty black Thunderpath, she got back to the task at hand; keeping those filthy marsh scum off of their territory!

Trotting to catch up with her aunt, he tried not to look back at the other cat in the patrol; the bane of her existence Stonepaw. Keeping her gaze set forward, a thought suddenly popped in her head. Wait....Stonepaw is Gustpuddle's son right? So that means.....he's my......cousin?! Oh StarClan this can't get any worse can it? Well, no matter what, I will never feel any sort of family loyalty towards that coward! With a bit of a haughty sniff, Laurelpaw lifted her chin and continued on.

OOC: Sorry I took so long, I'm the last person I believe, so Maple, I think you'll finally be able to post after this since we're going in posting order. Sorry again, I'll be posting more frequently now!

Stonepaw trotted hesitantly behind Laurelpaw, not knowing how to act around the she-cat without Nectarpaw there. Ever since they spat at each other at the gorge, an uneasy truce seemed to settle between them. They both were friends with Nectarpaw, and Stonepaw hoped that maybe he could befriend the harsh but admirably confident she-cat. He was still terrified of her, but Stonepaw was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

When they reached the thunderpath, it stunk heavily. The gray tom's ears flattened against the smell, following with his short fur tucking rigidly into his sides with discomfort. His nose scrunched up further at the scent of Shadowclan's markers wafting across the tar path. 'I can't lose focus,' Stonepaw reminded himself, scanning the other side for possible enemies lurking in the shadows.
